I forgot about Dungy. He is on the market as well. I can't see him coming back though unless the circumstances are VERY ideal.

It was so refreshing to hear Gruden lay into Brees for once in his life on Monday Night lol.

Cowher will come back before Dungy. Imo I don't think dungy is ever coming back, regardless of circumstances.

It's hard to imagine Dungy coming back. It would have to be a heck of a situation.

Maybe if the other talking heads on Sunday Night Football sit him down and explain that he's such a bad analyst that the audience actually gets uncomfortable watching him and fees embarrassed for him, he'll give up on the broadcasting thing and go back to coaching.
Or maybe if Mike Vick gets really depressed after two awful seasons and starts killing dogs again to make himself feel better, Dungy will come back to the league to straighten him out.

I think both Dungy and Cowher to a small extent regret what they have given to the game. Being a head coach is a pressing job. You spend more time in team facilities than you do at home and I think that both suffered a loss (Dungy his son, Cowher his wife) that has caused them to regret the amount of time they spent on the field rather than at home. I think that their losses gave each man a lot of perspective about what is important and I think both enjoy their 5 hour, once a week jobs that allow them to spend a lot of time with their families.

Well I'll be damned...
http://www.footballoutsiders.com/dvo...9-dvoa-ratings Carolina is now the 9th best defense in the NFL (6th best in the NFC; #1 overall in the NFC South). ![]() That'll definitely provide some optimism for Carolina going into Sunday against The Broncos. We're still gonna get our asses kicked but there's at least hope now.

But that's really nothing more than a random guess by Eskin.

True. Though I think he'd be good for Nnamdi Asomugha's career, provided the Eagles don't ditch him. |

LOL, yeah. An announcer who doesn't give credit to ANYBODY. The kind of jerk-off who thinks no one on earth compares to him, back in his playing days. Oh yeah, ESPN already employs that guy. Steve Young, come on down.

I think the Colts and Luck are going to have a field day tonight. ESPN article saying the Colts are due for a let down... definitely dont see that...

That would be absolutely awesome to hear. Unfortunately, I don't think that's happening any time soon.

I always felt that Michael Irving would have been a better choice as a game announcer then Gruden. Or I can think of many better coaches. Like Ditka, Parcells or Denni Green.
But the dream team of MNF for me would be. Chris Berman, Tom Jackson and Bill Cowher. |

I don't know ... I like Berman, but his schtick seems better in small doses. Even a game or so might be fine, but I think Berman would be rough on the ears quickly.

We can dream though, can't we? Most of the color analysts for the NFL at the moment (I don't really watch any other sports, so I can't speak on that) are pretty unbearable to listen to. From making up words ('winningest' and 'resiliency', for example) to using the most mind-numbingly stupid phrases ("A good running back runs with his feet on the ground"- I've heard that TWICE), I'm at a loss for words as to how most of these people have jobs speaking for the public.

Berman has called some MLB games and has done fine. I love it when he's in the booth for that. Football is a different story. He's better with the highlights then he would be in the booth.

Berman's become a caricature of himself. He's not even amusing doing the highlights any more.

Oh, hell no. F*** Cris Collisworst. I can't for the life of me understand why people think that idiot is a good commentator. I'll never forget some of the gems he provided us in that season opener a couple years back, like "last year, when the Seahawks defeated the Seahawks..." He hasn't made as many gaffes recently, but I still can't stand the guy.

Listening to Collinsworth during the Falcons game Sunday was unbearable. I've never heard so many made-up words in my life
