Kristen is pretty, she's not glamorous by any means but she's not unattractive. When she smiles she looks beautiful. She just doesn't do it often.

I agree and didn't say anything to the contrary. My point was that Charlize Theron is in a far superior class, in beauty and acting talent, that Kristen will ever be in.

Obviously beauty is in the eye of the beholder but you just don't see women of Charlize's caliber everyday. Kristen on the other hand looks no better than a few girls from my class.

Its her mannerisms that turn me off. She acts like a coke head. Maybe she just gets really nervous but it annoys the heck out of me.

I would probably lean toward pot-head...and it's not much of an act. She's appallingly bland looking and acting to me.

I've rarely seen her not looking high as a kite, and based on candid pics that have been taken of her, there's probably good reason for that.

I wouldn't say she's bland looking. It's that her countenance is rather sullen and her eyes lifeless, and she rarely smiles. Even when she does, it looks like it's for the camera and not a genuine smile where her whole face and emotions are engaged. She smiles with her mouth and not the rest of her face, and particularly not her eyes. She seems a rather closed, somewhat ill-at-ease person, especially when she has to be herself and is not in a role.

And it's those qualities that completely detract from her otherwise beautiful face. It makes her less attractive, because people can detect these microexpressions even subconsciously. It's that which people think make her "bland" and not her physical appearance as such. If she were to smile a lot more genuinely, and had an open, bubbly personality, I bet lots of people would find her far more attractive and appealing.

I agree with all those personality traits, but imo she's bland looking anyway. Very unattractive even by the standards of everday people her age, let alone Hollywood.

I don't think she's ever even close to beautiful, smile or no smile, her lifeless, stoic personality just makes her even less appealing. It's exactly what makes her a terrible excuse for an actress too. It constantly shows onscreen.

If the role requires emotional resonance, she's mis-cast.
