Haha, well, it's pretty restricted over here, I've seen much worse movie-related arguments, believe me.

So...I'm not much of a DVD/Blu-Ray buyer...like at all, and I'm REALLY lost as to which version of TASM I should buy. I was hoping you guys could direct me to which one has the most "stuff" but isn't outrageously priced. Thanks!

Unless you think it's a must own for either of those discs, I'd get the steelbook edition from Best Buy. It comes with the 3D Bluray, 2D Bluray, regular DVD and a code to use the UV digital copy. It also has all the 2D and 3D special features. |

I got the gift set with Spider-Man and Lizard figurines since it went on sale at amazon. I was surprisingly pleased with the quality of the figs, really nice imo!
Bummed though that I won't have the supplemental discs from Target or Walmart, but at least I'll have some nifty display items on my desk.

Finished watching the Blu-Ray with the second screen app last night. It was kinda distracting and I would've preferred it to be all on the same screen/television (kinda like what Batman Begins and TDK did with their Blu-Ray special features popping up).
It is kinda freaky though to see the iPad and the Blu-ray player interacting with each other. I havent watched the second disk for special features yet, so I'm not sure if the app has any exclusive features.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The shirt really is amazing! Really cool box . The shirt is spandex/lycra, but on first viewing it totally looks like it's made out of the same material as the movie costume. Really good fit for me too. It comes with the 2 figurines, a comic, 3 bluray discs in a steelbook (3D, 2D and bonus disc), 2 bonus region 2 DVDs (A Hero Will Rise and Enter The Lizard), and the shirt! AND AN ORIGINAL FILM CELL!

I too have that play.com shirt. I didn't request a size, so I assume they're all gonna have the same size. I hoped it fitted, and it did - perfectly! LOL I ordered it from Amazon Japan http://www.amazon.co.jp/%E3%82%A2%E3...8515716&sr=8-7 Came a week earlier than the UK release

Spoiler!!! Click to Read!:
Looks fantastic. I bought; The German Blu ray Walmart Blu ray Target Blu ray and then add shipping to all of that. The Japanese Box is 16,000 yen (roughtly £120/$200) not including shipping. So my 3 orders is probably still cheaper than the Japanese version but the Japanese version has that cool T-shirt. Maybe Marvel will sell the T-shirt seperately. |

It's fine, I don't mind people asking. It was £189! LOL!
The £33 charge had to be paid once it arrived in the UK, so that I could actually receive it. Usually I wouldn't fork out that much on anything, but I wanted this set badly! Like I said, the shirt was the main attraction, but the other stuff is cool too, they're collectables. Would have preferred if the comic was The Amazing Spider-Man #6, but hey ho. The 2 bonus DVD discs are available in 2 different Target & Walmart sets, I wouldn't buy the same film just to get the bonus discs, so I'm really glad they both came in this set. The documentaries are roughly 20 minutes each, both are quite interesting to be honest. And sorry for not mentioning it before, but the 3D blu-ray disc also contains the 2D version of the movie on it (I tried it just to test it out, the disc worked fine in my blu-ray player). The only advantage for me is that I got the blu-ray a week before the UK release lol

If you live in the UK you always pat duty on items from Japan. I love Spidey but £180+ when I would want is the 3D/2D movie and tshirt is way too much.

anyone know if the HMV set includes the 3D disk as well as the 2D? it doesn't really clarify on the website. Not that it matters too much, as I don't own a 3D TV but if I ever do in the future, I won't have to fork out anymore money.

I was originally going to get that Japanese Box set with the intent of building a costume around it. A few days before release, I cancelled my pre-order because I figured it'd be extremely difficult to match the colors and the material. I'm kind of glad I cancelled as seeing the shirt on a person, there's no way I'd be able to build a costume around it (not to mention that the shirt is one size only). It is a pretty sweet set regardless though.
I do want the comic that comes in the set. I can't find anyone selling it. Apparently, it's the same comic that comes with the movie if you buy it at Blockbuster in the UK. http://www.blockbuster.co.uk/product...sive-comic.htm Can anyone confirm this? Anyone have a copy of the comic that they'd want to sell? |

Given the sales figures I have seen, this one could get a pretty significant price drop early on. Might be worth waiting if you are just picking up the plain jane DVD or blu-ray.

Got the Japenese box for christmas and the t-shirt is amazing (no pun intended) it's the best t-shirt I own by a country mile although the t-shirt is really figure hugging so be aware of that if you've had one too many pies.

I have to say, this is one of the best blu-ray sets I've ever gotten. The commentary with Marc Webb is really good, and he reveals a lot of detail (notice how many times he hints at Gwen's fate).
