Kevin Clash seemed like such a great guy in his documentary. It seems this might just be a money grab.I hope this gets sorted out soon.Clash has become an important part of Sesame Street.

Meh, Jim Henson company paid him hush money me thinks to make this story go away.

I'm not saying Clash did anything illegal, but Sesame or whoever with the deep pockets opened them up.

Clearly there was SOMETHING behind this story.

It sounds like a classic case of an angry ex-boyfriend doing his best to get revenge. He knew there was nothing more devastating to a children's show performer than an allegation of sexual abuse, so that's what he went for. It wouldn't be the first time that happened and it won't be the last.

You're not saying he did anything illegal but you're saying that the only reason the accuser recanted is because he was paid off. That certainly doesn't make Clash sound innocent.

More because it looks bad. Even if the kid was of legal age, it's a pretty sketchy issue. I mean even if its an older guy and a younger woman who 16 years old and even if that's age of consent somewhere, I think it's still pretty sketchy.

But I think the news is pretty obviously means it was a payoff to get this guy to recant.

However, honestly it wouldn't surprise me if someone else played Elmo in the future.

But I can see how this might make parents nervous.
