A few times. I've personally always felt that he was a better option for Batman than Superman despite him being more associated with the latter.

I think Bomer would be better for Hal than either of them.

I've always thought Robert Kazinsky would be an awesome Batman. He's in Pacific Rim, and has just got a stint in True Blood for 10 episodes as Snookie's new boyfriend. He's come a long way.

Enter thread expecting to see cool ideas for actors that look or feel like they evoke Bruce Wayne.

See a bunch of generic models and severe miscasts.

Disappoint.

Kazinsky would hardly be a miscast...haven't seen him from Eastenders have you?

But yeah, he used to be a model lol

I can't speak of his acting skills, just going off of the picture. I'm open to correction on my admittedly coarse statement, though.

--

I did a Google search to give you the benefit of a doubt, and he's actually better than I thought. This pic would have been more convincing:

Slimmer jawline, wise and cautious expression. I like that look in his eyes. Generally he seems a bit too soft in the face (must be the nose), but the eyes are there.

I think it was the cheeks that threw me off in your pic.

Do you have a YouTube clip of his acting that you think would be a good point of reference?

There's a few I'll pull, but he was awesome in this scene where his mother on Eastenders is pushed and he throws a teenager over a car and threatens him like a psycho

I think these are some of his best acting moments on the show, his last episode on Eastenders-

For a couple of years now I've thought that Adrian Pasdar has the perfect look for Bruce Wayne and I also think he's a pretty good actor..

As for Batman..I admit he'd need to work out quite a bit!

Back when Heroes first started, he was my choice for Superman, he could definitely play Batman but he is pretty old now.

For some reason, most of the above images aren't working. Photobucket says they were removed.

The one that does work reminds me of Egon from Ghostbusters.

If I had any wisdom in this arena, I wouldn't be seeking out a thread for ideas.

I admit I was pretty grumpy when I posted that, so apologies for the rudeness.

Daaaamn, that looks intense. Just right, even. Shame I don't have access to working earphones right now to hear what his voice is like.

Will check the other links later once I get some.

That's a shame.

But he's a very good actor and I'm amazed at how far he's come from Eastenders. I'm peeved at him for dropping out of The Hobbit, because it would have given him more spotlight.

And his voice, I can imagine him pullingof a good Batman voice, a bit like Karl Urban's Dredd voice, but with a slight growl lol

I didn't much like him in The Rite. He was quite bland especially opposite someone as intense as Hopkins!

Thanks for putting up with my bad mood yesterday and standing up for your suggestion. I think I'm open to him as a choice now because you got me to take a harder look.

Well, he was kind of playing the foil to Hopkins' character, so maybe that was required of him.

I think he's a good pick.

That's fine

He's a very good actor. But people aren't really picking up on him yet. I think once he starts on True Blood people will get a better feel of him.

I retract my statement after the last three seemingly great suggestions.

Well done, guys. That's more like it.

Third below:

Not bad. Not bad at all. Both of the above are extremely Bruce Wayne.

Alternately, he might make a pretty sweet Jason Todd:

But dude, those eyes, seriously.

Another very Bruce-ish shot of O'Donoghue:
