20-23? That's a Robin kind of age. Batman needs to have a copious amount of learning and experience as well as training. That isn't possible in someone fresh out of their teens. I don't think Batman in the comics has ever been written as that young and immature. I don't think that is what the character is really about.

I really don't want to see yet another origin movie, and certainly not Batman' s Voice Begins to Break.

Batman in Year One was 25. Left Gotham at 15.

Which is 2-5 years older than suggested, then, and that was year one. I don't see the appeal in yet another origin movie.

I don't want another origin movie. But I don't want a movie where Batman is too old and everything is already established.

If Bruce became Batman at 25, then 10 years in the business by the film's start would be good enough, making him 5 years older than he was in Begins.

35 seems about right, but no younger for me.

Someone on another forum suggested him, and I thought it was a really interesting idea.

James Marsden as Batman.

I can. He's the only one (besides Michael Fassbender) I've seen so far who I feel I could get behind.

Eh, Marsden is Cyclops. Always will be. Frankly he deserves to play a larger role in DOFP if they are in fact going to use the time travel to reboot some stuff.

From what I've seen over the years, I don't feel he could pull of the Batman darkness. He's not that fierce imo.

I can definitely understand that POV. Honestly, I don't think the chances of him getting the part are all that high (or particularly existent) because he played Cyclops (not to mention Richard White).

For me Ray Winstone would make a great Penguin. Sure, he's 5'10, but you could think of him as an Emperor Penguin lol
He's got the look, the menacing voice and attitude.

Kaya Scodelario...Now, I can place her under 3 potential roles. Catwoman, Batgirl or Poison Ivy. Being 20, she's more BG at this point. However, she oozes sex appeal and a serious tone, which would work perfectly for either CW or PI.

Pierce Brosnan as Alfred. This either gets a mixed to positive reception. Brosnan has been described as being a little too cold for Alfred, which is true to an extent. However, I feel seeing him in roles where he's around children, he gives off a great father figure feel. When I think of any actor for Alfred, I think of an actor who would be the best father figure to a young Bruce Wayne, and Pierce fits that mold imo.
He would be somewhat different to Gough and Caine. Definitely less jolly. But I see that anyway when I see Alfred in the comics. The no no-nonsense type, who will occasionally butt in with a sarcastic quip. More dry than Caine. But I imagine Pierce as Alfred would be more of a tougher and more tolerant type to Bruce being Batman and taking on partners. Alfred must realise that every soldier, no matter what age, has to fight his own war. That needs to change from Caine and Gough's takes.

Bryan Cranston HAS to be Gordon. But since he's dedicated to Sony, I see him getting snapped up by Sony for Jameson or someone else in TASM...just be positive!

How's that? He was just in Argo and Rock of Ages, both for WB.

Paul Giamatti was my pick for Penguin but looks like he has a thing for rhinos.

I wouldn't necessarily rule him out just because of that.

Philip Seymour Hoffman is my Penguin pick.

i think jamie foreman (lennie taylor in gangster no. 1 ) would be a great pick for penguin.

speaking of that movie, that's another reason why i support the idea of paul bettany as the joker .

For the casting of Riddler, someone suggested Tom Hiddleston, I think that's a top choice.

He's too likable, honestly. Kind of a pretty boy. Kind of nerdish. Very good fit for Cyclops. I just don't see him as Batman.

Marsden and Ryan Phillippe are the living definition of "pretty boy" and therefore should never be mentioned as Batman candidates.
