I personally feel Manu Bennett would be the best Bruce Wayne if he could get the American accent down.

Somerhalder would work. Ackles I always saw as Hal Jordan or Aquaman

Ian Somerhalder is not a bad choice at all. got the looks, the right age, and can play tormented characters well.

I definitely don't want Ackles, but it's not like "TV actor" always equals "bad actor."

While I am not throwing my support behind these people for Batman, but Jon Hamm, Timothy Olyphant, Peter Dinklage (ok, he can play Batman if he wants), Steve Buscemi, Kevin Bacon, Gary Senise, George Clooney, Leonardo Dicaprio, JK Simmons, Christopher Meloni, Johnny Depp, etc... all current or former "tv actors."

very true, and i guess it was wrong of me to stereotype all tv actors as bad....nevertheless, the thing about your afformentioned list is that they are 'good' actors, which is most likely why the majority of them transitioned to the big screen. whereas ackles and the guy from grim are not good actors. i know its just my opinion BUT it seems to be a widely held opinion round these parts save for a few goofy fanboys

Ackles is too bro-ey

He looks like a popular high school kid from the late 90's. Spiky blonde hair and all.

I've never watched Grimm, but I don't want Ackles as my Batman, either.

Look at this picture of Josh Brolin and tell me he wouldn't make a kick-ass Bruce Wayne. Grow his hair out a little bit and he looks dead on the B:TAS Bruce.

Ackles is far from a terrible actor.

It's a weird coincidence- I thought about Brolin as Batman while being subjected to MIB 3 last week. He would have been great, but probably a little too old now.

his role in MIB certainly qualifies him to be a young Two-Face.

Im still advertising Robert Kazinsky.

Most agree since he was announced for True Blood that he's a great actor...others are basking him because he's preventing Eric and Sookie getting back together

Found this good video of him, going all Bat **** crazy on his ex army mate

He'd be fine if this was being shot next week, but since he is a few months off his 40th birthday, it seems it is too late for him.

Are there many potential roles Lincoln could take up besides Batman however.

How about that? Its the most recent pic
Right there he has that cheeky smirk

While here he looks a psycho

He has an intense face and eyes, which I think are vital for any Batman actor. He gives great performance s. He can be funny and psychotic, which is also a factor for the actor.

But I'm holding out for Pacific Rim and True Blood to make a final judgement lol

I like the idea of Andrew Lincoln, Karl urban would be awesome, but I think that would mean no Dredd sequel which saddens me to no end. Josh brolin is a pipe dream but I would love it. It's a shame Joseph Gordon levitt had to become not-batman at the end of tdkr, because I think he'd make a great real batman lol.
