It's the same damn suit, all they did was change the damn color, Jeez. What's the big deal?

It looks futuristic, since when has people become so Anti-Black.

exactly, but you just have to remember, the people hating are usually the ones repeating themselves over and over and over. Same jokes, same references to anything similar, same jumping to ridiculous conclusions, etc...just different people.

I gotta say that set picture with him standing next to the motorcycle. That right there is Robocop. You show that to 100 people they will all say its Robocop and holy crap he looks bad ass

I would love a completely updated suit with the classic two-tone color scheme... i understand the reason to why they did it, but that doesn't mean i have to like it or support it.

I would have liked the original concept art for the suit but I just want a good movie at the end of the day. So I won’t be writing this movie off until I actually see it for myself to make my own judgment.

Totally right. I'm a fan of the new suit and even I'm surprised how quickly most people recognize him as Robocop. I've shown a lot of my non-geek, regular movie fan friends pics of the new suit and about 9 times out of 10 they say "is that Robocop?"

That silver concept art, looks so much better than the black, sorry but I must be 'nostalgic.' I don't understand how either could be classed as more futuristic than the other. Sorry guys but i'm just in the camp that if they want to distance themselves so much from the original and do a new take yadda yadda, thats fine just don't call it Robocop.

Well I was making the point that colour has nothing to do with how futuristic it looks. And I agree, but we aren't just talking about colour, everything we've seen so far, i'm far from impressed. It seems to get fairly positive responses in this thread, but I can tell you i'm not the only one worried about this film. They better be wizards in post production, and release a really strong trailer.

Are they really trying to distance themselves from the original? My take is whoever makes a movie about a robot who is a cop, no matter how good or bad the story is, will just be called a Robocop knockoff anyway so you might as well use the title and move on.
