I'm having a moral dilemma.
I'm in grad school, studying Archival and Cultural Heritage Resources and Services. There are many different careers and options that I can go with such a degree, but working for the feds in DC has always been an interesting idea to me. Plus I have a friend out there that will let me stay with him and help me get on my feet. Still, there is the idealist in me that wants to do gratifying but low paying and thankless work with Native Americans. I feel like I will actually be doing some good if I work with the Native People, even if they are suspicious of white men. With the feds, I would just be another cog in the wheel, maybe not doing any real good. Then again, the pay is better. Hell, the feds are probably thankless too.

I guess you are right. It just feels like a shame that so many indigenous cultures are about to go extinct and I'm not going to do anything about it when I am willing to.

I confess that I've realized that I haven't really been enthusiastic about anything in the past couple of years. It's like whenever I have something to look forwatrd to, I'm either anxious for it to happen or dying to get it over with. But I can't remember the last time I was truly excited about something.

I confess that sometimes I put on old Halloween costumes and just sit around the house in them.

Get one of those Magnum bars, then contemplate the fact that that big, fat, chocolate covered Ice Cream bar has the same name as the super sized condoms.

^ I had a hospital stay about a year or so ago and I felt the same way. Outside of the fact that I was in a hospital getting various tests, it was kind of a nice break.

The hospital already released me Thursday. I had micro-surgery which is supposed to heal faster. However I can't return to work without a note from the surgeon and my follow up isn't until Tuesday. Also I have forty sick hours accumulated that work is going to cover my absence with. I'm glad this worked out but I'm nervous about the hospital bill.

I'm very old school, so sooner or later I will buy another CD portable player, cause ''shocker'', I buy CD's still. Although I like playing CD's in the laptop more often. Cause you know...no skipping. -_- oh, and I import to iTunes. Boo yeah. By the time I get a iPod and import my CD's to it, I bet you will be like 'You....you still have a iPod? Get up with the times bro' Oh My GOODNESS, AD-AWARE Free anti-virus scanner detected threats. Color me shocked.
