Looks great! Like Guild Wars 2 meets Borderlands 2.
If it ever even releases on PC...that's kind of up in the air..They really havent even talked about a PC version.

Why couldn't your wife play it on the PS4?

Is it split screen? Otherwise we only play together when it's something we both want to play.

They hinted at it.

"We would absolutely love to be on the PC." Said Bungie COO Pete Parsons. "If you talk to the people upstairs, we play it on all platforms. So, stay tuned."

Nintendo simply doesn't make their systems powerful enough.

I really am pumped for this game so much. Looks like a serious, bigger, and more epic version of Borderlands, with some Halo thrown in. Can't go wrong with that.

Now if they would announce a PS4 versionof Titanfall, my sci fi needs will be set for a good while.

This is coming out on the PS3 and the 360, so it could run on the WiiU.

The Wii U can run Destiny. If it can run Crysis 3, it can run anything the PS3 can.

The big hurdle is online gameplay. Well, that and Nintendo being difficult.

You'll probably see Titanfall on the PS4 eventually. Probably not on the PS3 though.

it's really not "out there" to think Destiny couldn't run on the WiiU.. the thing can friggin' run Crysis 3 and is probably just as powerful as the PS3...Devs just seem to be afraid of it or something. I doubt it does come to the WiiU. but I'd buy that version over PS3/360 versions. PS4 for me though.

the damage EA did with that talk of there's . at least the people at cryteck are decent unlike their some of the boss's over At EA. Any way not all of EA are bad, but seriously, just some of the people in charge over there. Anyone that's still saying the WiiU isn't powerful enough after crytek told the truth on what the real deal is . ...

Any way moving on

Yeah, also read its got the most ever being spent on a video game so they are certainly going to be putting a great deal of effort into it, just hope its all worth it. Everything Ive seen about it so far looks awesome and E3 footage looked great.

Bungie talks Destiny, evades RMT question

Bungie's latest Mail Sack column is up, and the bulk of the conversation centers on its upcoming open-world sci-fi shooter, Destiny. Revealed (or clarified) in the post: fireteam sizes (three), total player allowances for public events (a lot, but not too many), and which month the team is most looking forward to in 2014 (the one in which Destiny comes out).

Also discussed were real-money transactions, though the response from Bungie is about as PR-fluffy as it gets. When asked to what degree real-life money will be used in the game, this was the response:
What we can tell you right now is that the rewards you will gain by playing Destiny – and playing it well – will be earned. You will carve them from the hides of your enemies, after you stomp them into the ground of your favorite destinations.
It makes sense that the folks at Bungie would play that one close to the chest; Destiny is still in a pre-alpha state and anything could change about the game at any time.

Bungie talks Destiny's connected play, Far Cry and Borderlands influence

In an interview with Edge Magazine, Destiny creative director Joe Staten took a moment to acknowledge the contributions of other open world shooters to the Destiny development process. Staten noted that the dev team analyzes titles like Borderlands and Far Cry and looks at "the things they're doing well and also at opportunities they might have missed that we can capitalize on."

One big missed opportunity according to Staten? Encountering other players in the wild:
You can party up with a group of people and then go around with that group, but never in Borderlands are you going to collide with a group of other people doing it too. We don't just do that once or twice in the game, we do that all the time, everywhere. You see other people on the horizon, hear gunfire over a hill and see space magic flying behind some trees, and you know...there are other people out here, that [changes everything].
Colliding with other people is sort of the core component of most MMOs, though Destiny may be the first big console-specific shooter to rely on such mechanics to fill out its game world. Staten also confirmed that Destiny will offer a leveling system complete with talent points -- another feature fans of MMOs will likely find quite familiar.

This is going to be THE next gen game for me.. It's going to be my new Halo. I also heard them say that they're putting SO much into this that we won't get a Destiny 2..It's going to be an on going series with this one game.

Maybe the sequel will be DLC or an expansion pack? But if everything I've read is true..then..I don't see a need for them to make a second disk based game.

I think they said every other year would be a new game, with "Comets" I.e. DLC, being in the other years in between. But yes, this game is going to be TOO awesome. I'm very glad I have this game to replace Halo, because I'm not getting an XBone for a long while if ever. I'll miss Halo very much, but this game may very well end up being an even more epic universe.

I hope cosmic horror comes into play at some point in the first couple games.

Gamescom bills itself as the largest single gathering of gamers in the world. Who better than Bungie, then, to set up the "largest theater to ever grace the event" in order to showcase its upcoming Destiny title.

The game will also be advertised by a colossal sculpture of the Fallen Captain, a fearsome four-armed baddie that Destiny players will face as they fight their way through the game's war-torn sci-fi scape. Click past the cut to see the statue take shape courtesy of Bungie's art department. Continue Reading

I think you'll always be online but the difference with this is it'll be limited to the experience you want to have since they say it's different from a MMO of sorts. if you want to play solo you can, if you want to play with only certain people like your buddies like in "instance's" (where take on a boss in his lair) as they call them, you can. but in other place like the world where world events are taking place, you might see other players or hear them in the distance.
