Well, now we know it's DC!!!

Maybe this is closer to the comics then we thought.

just the idea of it its exciting.

Im sure there will be many new scenes, but would be cool to see a few adaptations direct from the comic. two of three scenes here and there

Well, that clears it up.

Are they actually going to shoot there or just taking pictures of it so they can build sets of it later?

Speaking of Washington, whenever that scene with Charles and Erik playing chess on the steps comes up in FC, I always can't help thinking, where are all the tourists?

Realistically, that scene would have been something like:

Charles: "Coexistence blah blah blah"

Erik: "Can't trust the humans blah blah blah"

Random tourist: "Hi can you take a picture of me and my girlfriend please??"

Charles mentally told them to go away

I think of the same whenever that scene in TDKR comes up when Bane and his goons take over the Stock Exchange on Wall Street.

They don't even need to go that far. If Days of Future Past is anything like its comic book counterpart, Washington DC is where the assassination takes place.

I'm starting to think people are being a bit too optimistic. We know very little right now!

If they are doing location filming In DC that strongly hints at a X-Men VS Brotherhood battle In DC.

Exactamundo, bub.

And Singer's far, far smarter about politics in these films than Vaughn or Rats (shudder) could ever be...so I think we're in for something interesting!

Bryan's done the best film In series-X2.While I consider First Class a bit better than
X-men remember he had his hand very much In that as story writer and hands on producer.

Bryan being gay understands the methaphor better than english Vaughn or hack Ratner.

I think Vaughn did it well, and First Class is my favorite in the series... however, while I won't blame X3 sucking on Ratner, I don't think Ratner would do it well even under good circumstances. I think Singer will do it justice though.

They may not actually film in DC but might be taking reference photos to use when building sets/cgi later on. They did that on the first X-Men. Singer and his crew went to NYC and went inside the Statue of Liberty head to take pics of it for reference to use while building sets for the film's climax, for the shoot in Vancouver.
