Philadelphia Eagles: How a New Coaching Staff Can Build a New Dream Team

****, if Philly actually put this coaching staff together, it would quite possibly be the most dominant, head coach/OC/DC combination of all time. It would be right up there with the 2005 Steelers staff of Cowher, Whisenhunt and LeBeau. I doubt it will happen, but if it does.....damn.

Pretty impressive if Philly could pull it off. Teams probably wont want to touch Turner and Rivera as head coaches after the season, so they might be looking for coordinator positions again.

Hell naw, I don't want Arians at Carolina. We don't need another inexperienced head coach. Rivera was terrible and set us back another year. Bruce would set us back even further.

Even if that was a possibility, why the 3 of them would get together for a non franchise QB like Foles.

Not exactly a lot of available QBs next year, and I don't think Cowher would want to spend another decade waiting for one to come by.

True. I dunno why the Philadelphia sports media/fans seem so convinced that Foles is going to be a legendary quarterback.

I'll tell you this much though....if Detroit fires Jim Schwartz, you can bet your ass that Cowher, Gruden, Billick, and Reid would be fighting for that job. That team has Super Bowl talent which is going to waste thanks to the undisciplined environment Schwartz has created. I guarantee that the likes of Cowher and Gruden are foaming at the mouth for a job like that.

Whoever comes in better be a strict SOB. We need a coach who will challenge the team from the inside because Steve Smith and Greg Hardy were right. The Panthers' locker room has been brewing a loser mentality for years now. Carolina has lacked toughness and swagger, and it has shown. I want my smash-mouth squad back.

I think Luck is deserving as well.. but it will be RG3... he gets all the love/publicity lol...

Here's my perspective:

RG3 should be OROTY but Luck should be MVP. Most valuable player is not the best player in the NFL. Rather it is awarded to the player who is most valuable to his team. Last year the Colts were 2-14 and the worst team in the NFL. This year they are poised to finish with 10 or 11 wins and make the playoffs. A huge part of that is Luck putting the team on his shoulders and carrying them to victory.

While his play has been no where near as impressive as RG3 (which is why he unequivocally deserves to be named ROTY), he has been more valuable to his team than anyone else in the league. Luck should be named MVP.

And I think you have to pick Andrew Luck for Offensive ROY, seeing as how he'll likely make the playoffs,

On that same point, where would the 'Skins be without RGIII? They'd also be absolutely no where and not still in the fight for a playoff berth.

The way I see it, if RG3 ends up taking the Redskins to the playoffs too, then not only should he win OROTY but he should have a legitimate shot at MVP too. We all know it isn't going to happen though. Peyton is probably going to take both Comeback of the Year and MVP.

i'm not sure who i'd pick for mvp right now. after the first 6 games of the season i would have had matt ryan on lock. but he's been playing poorly recently and amazingly it's the atl defense that has bailed him out, instead of the other way round. he could still end up playing at the high level again for the last few games though.

i guess the easy choice would be peyton or brady. luck is in with a shout, as is rgIII.

Jenkins has been a gem for The Rams, especially considering the circumstances. Haywood for The Packers, however, might be in the lead in the Defensive Back department with 6 INTs.

The frontrunner, at the moment, for DROTY overall seems to be Luke Kuechly.

Yeah, RG3 should definitely be in the talks if the 'Skins make playoffs. I don't think Peyton deserves MVP. Hell, Denver was already a playoff team without him. They won a playoff game with Tebow. The team isn't living or dying based on #18. But he'll probably get it.

Yep. I mean, sure, Peyton has now made The Broncos a true Superbowl contender but I don't think he deserves MVP this year. That said, MVP is a popularity contest, and Peyton will likely win the award because of his name and image.
