Looks somewhere between 2.50 - 2.75 is more likely, which means Thor TDW will pass $200 million.

This guy was in the 3rd highest selling film of all time and his film can't even crack a lousy 100 million OW!

Well, with this low 80s OW, I can see it doing a bit more than 200M total. A 2.5 multiplier is possible, but not guaranteed.

Veteran's day and Thanksgiving should help the US totals.

Yeah people are under predicting the domestic totals because they are applying multipliers based on summer movies. That's not going to work.

I don't care what happens with Catching Fire, the only competition in November is Catching Fire and Frozen, so Thor TDW is going to have a good performance over the Thanksgiving weekend. Holiday films nearly always have bigger multipliers. Even a flop like Voyage of the Dawn Treader had a good multiplier.

250 domestic is within reach.

I can't believe it won't do $90M OW! I hope Hunger Games won't steal any of his thunder. I'm going to see it this week. Kind of disappointing but I'm hoping that next weekend it can make at least $45-50M.

I plan on seeing it tonight with my sister so that's more money added to it's box office if that makes you guys feel any better. I've liked all of the comicbook movies this year, hoping The Dark World makes it a perfect score of 4 out of 4.

I'm definitely one of those people who didn't think this film would get 100m in the opening weekend in the U.S. Simply because of the November release date. Thor 2 would probably get more money if it opened the summer or it was released in May or July.

Dude, you're coming across like a spoiled rich kid who's parents got him the red Lamborghini instead of the black one that he wanted for his birthday. The film is going to do better than the first film - what the hell more do you want?

My review is in the review thread. I thought it was fun overall and so did she.

My theater was nearly full, I wonder how well it did today? That's just one movie theater though so I won't take that as a sign of anything one way or the other.

Yes, I actually do feel better.

I've paid to see it Thursday, Friday and Saturday myself. It's what true fans are suppose to do if they like it right???

Well, if you dont see it multiple times, it doesnt mean your not a true fan .
But ,you can certainly see it as many times as you would like .
Or at least as many as you can afford.

Well, it's already at $268MM overseas. Which matches the total overseas gross for the first Thor movie. I think it's a pretty good bet for TDW to be around $300MM overseas when the weekend is over. None too shabby.

Overseas, meanwhile, "Thor: The Dark World" has already grossed over $268 million. Check back for the full box office report on Sunday.
Of course, they could be wrong, I suppose, but that's what it said. I'm assuming the China opening is in there somewhere.

It is now open in 92% of territories. I feel for that 8%. Still have to wait.

So it's already made about 73% of the WW total of the first film. Yeah, that'll work. They only spent $20M more making this one than they did the first one. Should beat the WW total for Thor1 by the end of next weekend.
