Yes, I'm also excited about World War Z. For me, any kind of world apocalypse is worth watching.

That's what I thought too
![]() But I'm kinda glad that you seem angry, because it's the unpopular opinion thread after all

I didn't like Iron Man either. Haven't seen the sequel, but it probably sucks as well.

Watched Looper over the weekend... I cant believe THAT is the movie the critics fell over themselves praising last year.
The first half an hour was really good, set up a pitch perfect neo-noir tone, a load of thought-provoking sci-fi ideas, and then spectacularly failed to do anything interesting with any of it... Yeah. Last edited by Wesley Dodds; 02-04-2013 at 03:52 PM. |

I really enjoyed looper, but I think it has to do with how you felt about marketing for the movie. I found the plot with the boy a welcome surprise.

By the way, I'm not looking forward to World War Z. I heard too man bad things behind the scenes and the CGI zombies look absolutely awful. Looks worse than they did in I am Legend, and that was released years ago!

I thought Hellboy 1 was much better than Hellboy 2.

Yeah, IMO Hellboy 2 is above and beyond better than the first (which was still pretty good). 2 had more of that Del Toro aesthetic, which I love.

OK
![]() I mostly just remember that Perlman is an awesome Hellboy and also that I prefer the comic books.

Ummm, I haven't seen the Hellboy movies in a long time, but I remember both being quite good and on par with each other.

I've honestly have only seen the first one once and have no interest ever seeing it again.
The second I watch quite often.

The second one had the advantage of not having that kid in a lead role.
Edit: Rupert Evans' character |

I think I was most disappointed by the first film's color palette and art design. It was sorely lacking compared to the comics.

I'm not sure if I enjoyed Hellboy 2 more than 1 because the visuals were simply beautiful or if I genuinely liked the film as a whole more, but whatever the reason, I liked it more.
On the topic of comic book movies, I did not enjoy Superman vs The Elite or The Dark Knight Returns 1 or 2. But I didn't like the comics they were adapted from in the first place, to be frank.
