Agreed, for 70s' neo-noir I'll go with The Long Goodbye with Elliott Gould or Night Moves with Gene Hackman instead.

First time I watched it I turned it off 15 minutes in because I was bored, but the second time I got crazy involved and fell in love with it. Especially dat ending...

I'm gonna throw in one real one and one left field tv one.

Batman '89 is still the best bat-movie to date. There, I said it.

Dr Who sucks. I watch it all the time and I just can't get into it. This one fits because there have been Who movies.

Why do you watch it all the time if you don't like it?

Bbc America always seems to pair it with STTNG.

Eh, I don't hate it. Way better than Episodes I and II.

Better than the originals however? Nah.

Highlander does kinda suck, but it's part of the charm.

I regard TPM as by far the best of the prequels. I had a whole bunch of reasons typed out, but my browser crashed, so you're going to have to take my word for it.

I really liked Chicago. I know this isn't "unpopular" exactly considering it won Best Picture and all that, but I feel like this movie (kind of like Shakespeare in Love, which I have not seen) are the ones everyone is like "how did that crap win any awards?"

You could've just said Darth Maul and you would've won most arguments.

Actually, my argument mainly consisted of Darth Maul and Liam Neeson.

The Star Wars prequels are not very good movies, but they're so beautiful to look at, the battle and action scenes are so exciting, that sometimes you forget how horrible the dialogues and the stories are.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is by far the best HP movie.

I think one HUGE mistake, obviously, was killing Darth Maul in the first one. He should have killed Qui Gon, then get away without Obi Wan getting any kind of payback. Let that build over time, and basically have Anakin straight up just murdering Darth Maul be part of his move to the Dark Side.

Honestly, they should've waited to kill Qui-Gon too. He was by far the most compelling and likeable character in the prequels. Once he was gone, everything got quite boring, IMO.

-I hate Batman 89 (excluding Jack as Joker) and Batman Returns
-Avatar is one of the most overrated, generic, boring movies I've ever seen

It's weird, B89 is my favorite movie of all time, but Jack's Joker is probably my least favorite aspect about it.

That would require rewriting the plot and character so that Darth Maul had actual presence and significance, rather than being a costumed elite mook, though.

Yes, but that would be relatively easy to do.

Hypothetically, you could easily combine Maul, Dooku and Grevious all into one character.

– I love Avatar (unpopular opinion in film forums and among geeks).

– I love Revenge of the Sith.

It's more fun to have unpopular film related opinions that are positive!
