I love Avatar and I liked Worthington in it. I also thought he was fine in Terminator Salvation, even though the movie itself wasn't the greatest.

I thought Russell Crowe was fine in Les Miserables, and that his singing wasn't as godawful as it's made out to be.

Actually, I didn't think Hugh Jackman's was much better than Crowe's, but isn't complained about nearly as much.

Green Lantern wasn't that bad.

I didn't know people didn't like Sam Worthington, I think he's fine. For me, the problem is the material he chooses to work with.

Daredevil (the DC) isn't perfect, but it's one of the better superhero movies, and Affleck was a good choice for Matt Murdock.

For me, I like him and all his movies I've seen him in. Nothing oscar worthy, (except avatars 3dsfx) but very underrated.

I kind of agree, though I would add Keaton's Batman since that was very good and holds up after more than two decades. TDK is highly overrated, IMO, while TDKR is simply laughable. As in, I rolled my eyes through the ridiculous, plothole-filled first hour, then started laughing hysterically at the point where Bane was giving his ludicrous speech at the prison. Hardy's affected voice was just too much to take. I had tears streaming down my face by the time he got through reading Gordon's speech. The scene at the stadium hadn't been much better, with thousands of people just sitting calmly after their team was blown up before their eyes and listening to Bane's tirade. Nobody screamed, nobody ran, nobody cried for their dead Wildcats -- nothing but silence. After that, I could only finish watching by treating it as a sort of surreal parody of a Batman film. At least I got some good laughs out of it. Just thinking of Bane's lilting voice as he says, "This bomb is mo-bile!" is enough to send me into a fit of laughter.

I'm sure that is about as unpopular an opinion as you can find around here.

you forgot the tacky throw-in storyline with talia and her atrocious death scene...what an unnecessary mess. and yet i still loved tdkr. i think batman 89 is definitely up there with the best; i love that movie.

also, i thought avengers was terrible. i can't keep interested the entire second half of the film when all the avengers mindless bash the alien invaders. it was like watching someone play a repetitive video game.

While I disagree with your opinion (and to each their own on that, I say), I'd just like to point out one inaccuracy in your post. The people in the stadium were running and screaming. They just couldn't escape because the mercenaries were blocking the exits and forcing them back to their seats. If you watch the special feature on the Blu Ray (unsure if it's on the DVD) on the football stadium explosion, you can see them filming the people screaming, ducking and running to try and escape if you want to see it closer up.

Oddly enough, it really doesn't seem like disliking TDKR or The Avengers are unpopular opinions at all, at least not on the SHH. From what I've seen over the last few months opinion on both films is almost split 50/50. I too thought I'd be part of a tiny minority in not liking TDKR and that I'd be just another face in a vast majority of people who loved The Avengers, but it's not so. There are plenty who agree and disagree on both 'sides'.

I'd say disliking The Avengers is pretty unpopular on here, unless you're in the Batboards.

They dislike everything.

I love both The Avengers and TDKR. I love The Avengers more because it was a gamechanger. We hadn't seen anything like it before and after five films of buildup, it certainly delivered.

Had TDKR been a little bit ballsier (like if they had killed off Alfred, Gordon or Fox) that might have elevated it above The Avengers for me.

I gave every one of Nolan's trilogy 3 1/2 out of 4 stars. I rate TDK highest, but I think they're all good.

yeah i just think that BB does not get its due in the trilogy.. BB is by far the most under rated of them all IMO. You would have to admit that its weird for someone like me to love BB and not really care for the next two. I felt like it changed that much following BB

I love The Avengers too, but I don't see how its a "gamechanger", other than it being extremely popular/successful.

It's a gamechanger in the belief that combining multiple franchises actually works. People who were skeptical of the idea, including people in Hollywood are no longer Skeptical. It's another footnote in the history of Superhero movies.

Yes, but I'll always contend that those people were simple minded fools to begin with.

I thought that Andrew Garfield was a better Peter Parker than Tobey McGuire.

So did I, even though I still like Tobey as Peter. And I thought that Emma Stone was a much better love interest for Peter than Kirsten Dunst's MJ. But Andrew Garfield takes it just for this scene alone:

I don't think it's unpopular though.

I'm mixed on how much of a dick they made Peter though. On one hand, it's too much. On another hand, he is a teenager and these are how teenagers are these days. He acted like a bullied teenager who just got superpowers against Flash (except not handling it the Andrew Detmer way ).

I like that scene...the first time I saw it. But the marketing showed it in EVERY tv spot. By the time I saw the movie i was tired of the scene

on the actual topic of Garfield. I honestly dont know. I dont think Peter was written as bad/jerkass as people say, but I cant really judge his performance yet. I do like how they wrote Peter not being a nerd, but an outsider too. I thought that was really good.

I think the sequel will make or break my opinion on him and the reboot series as a whole.

Here's 2 opinions:
-I hated the Gwen-Peter romance in TASM
-I dont want to see a Transformers film with just the robots. I actually feel that they got a good amount of screentime in the first film too (although they couldve been characterized better)
