No, there is another one labeled "Trailer 3" that's 2 seconds shorter and only for the 3D shows, but I watched that one too, and the only difference I saw was that the S Logo went behind the main title instead of after it.

I found something striking in the trailer. Clark says "the World is too Big mom", to which Martha replies "than make it small. Focus on My Voice. Pretend it's an Island out in the ocean. Can You see it?"... Did Clark just Discover his superhearing, gets frightened, and seeks hiding in a closet? I mean, he's sitting in there with his hands above his ears. Martha Kent on the other side of the door crying her self, not quite understanding and hearing what her Alien son is hearing, and can only do her Best to try and comfort her boy in any Way possible. Her Voice being an Island that Clark should focus on and seek shelter at, while the ocean being the Voices of billions of people around the World constantly screaming for a savior. This metaphor that Martha gives (Gotta LOVE Diane Lane!), Could this be the way to which Clark learns to control his superhearing, and filtering out all the noices?

oh, and the Pacific Rim trailer was nowhere near as epic as MOS.

it's an interesting concept, but the monster looked kind of goofy..........

I wasn't expecting the whole interdimensional alien thing, though.

im not worried about the "maybe" line from pa kent. first of all, those lines of dialogue may not be consecutive in the actual film. it may have just been edited that way to create a narrative for the trailer. trailers do that a lot.

secondly, if it is how the lines actually play out, the context of it could just be Jonathan helping clark see all the options available in order to make the right decision.

but i highly doubt Jonathan would ever actually entertain the idea to let people die if there was a way to stop it....unless the writers of the movie really just have a complete misunderstanding of the character.

I think we will see a Pa Kent who was panic-stricken over the thought of the government coming down on them and taking Clark away and possibly dissecting him like an animal.

I just think that "maybe" was just a momentary fear. I bet the next line is "I'm sorry , son. I didnt mean that. You did the right thing"

If they wanna put superman in a darker world, that's fine. But it's integral to the character that the darkness not affect him, he needs to be the light to spread hope. It would have to be to make the movie look consistent. Unless they're doing multiple filters for multiple stories a la Traffic.

That's something I'd like to see as well. It's like us seeing a Superman in the city doing the unthinkable. But if Superman smiling at bystanders (and the like) is going to bring this film down for you I hope you can find something else to latch on to. There are tons more to Superman that WILL be in the film. This is could be the best movie for our hero ever. ya, omit the smile. It’s too cheesy. I like a lot spidey trailers and it still left an impression to me. The 1st one is the robbery happens…car chasing and the ending with the whole car caught in a giant spidey web between the twin towers. The 2nd one is peter and jane are dinning coolly, then peter senses something and looks to the glass wall, an luxurious car being thrown in and smashing the glass in slow motion…
So damn awesome by just thinking about them.

I don’t get the impact from MOS trailer which I suppose to get. Because he is god damn superman and can do god damn wonders.

I love Diane Lane's voice !

I think you are right about young Clark suddenly developing super hearing and is frightened and confused by all the sounds, Ma Kent is basically telling him to focus on her voice and not be afraid of the big world out there but rather think of it as an island in the middle of the ocean (space). Great scene !

I still don't see how that's a valid reason though. Does every scene need to have the same orange blue contrast. If anything it just makes it look fake and doctored really. I just don't understand what filmmakers obsession with tan and teal for everything. Why do they do this, if even to make it look 'consistent'.

I really liked the shot of Clark in the back of the pick-up with Johnathon heading toward him in the backdrop of the cornfield and the setting sun. Really beautiful.

Jor-El could be out of frame launching Kal-El's ship. And that could be the time when Krypton's buildings start toppling, so she wouldn't be affected yet. Jor-El probably rejoins her as Krypton crumbles around them and they watch the ship leave. That shot looks like a lot of scenes in the comics e.g. Earth One, The Last Family of Krypton, where they launch the ship and watch from the bay window.

Well said indeed. MOS might have the best origin in a CBM so far IMO as well as the best motivation for becoming the alter ego. It just comes from a very heartfelt place.

Indeed; MOS definitely has the potential to take the title of being the best Origin Story told in a CBM.

BB has had the best origin so far, but his motivations arent exactly optimal or pure. Supes just cant help himself.
