I think he takes greater advantage from just 48 hours. The longer the allowed prep-time stretches out though the closer I can see it getting to they both kill each other.

I'm struggling to think of a scenario where Luthor wins singularly.

I actually thought this would be a lot closer than what it is. I'm voting Doom though. Only because of the magic factor.

I remember Thor doing that to Juggernaut, but don't recall him doing that to Dr. Strange. The Avengers and Defenders have fought four times to my knowledge, Strange and Thor were both on the rosters only in the very first official fight, (The Defenders werent really an established group yet in the first meeting in Sub-Mariner #35, so the first "official meeting between the two teams was the war that started in Avengers #116) and nothing like that happened. Can you quote a title and issue number?

Sorry, no. I remember the scene but it has been too many years for me to remember much. My house is so packed with stuff I don't have room to get my collection out.
