Yep. It's easily dismissed as not being Scott. Storm was definitely there though.

It ultimately doesn't matter if that little girl is or isn't Jean. We also shouldn't be taking into account Origins: Wolverine, as it has been, for all intents and purposes, declared non-canon.

People complaining that this really isn't important should look at how casting is happening in DOFP. Had they included the original 3 as the first class, we wouldn't even have to question if any of the X-men (Banshee and Havok; other than Xavier and Beast) are returning in this film. We would already know they are bringing back the big 3.

But you have to get where the fans are coming from though. Why use the obviously BS line that they can't use Cyclops, Storm (and Jean) as Original First Class X-men, and then show "2 second cameos" from obviously Cyclops and Storm especially when those two actors are pretty much the same ages as Havok and Banshee.

Maybe not, but the filmmakers should not think that the fans will just accept an easter egg with open arms simply because it features two popular characters. It was a minor continuity error. When you're making a prequel to a popular film series, these errors will naturally irritate some fans.

It was repeatedly stated that Havok and Scott are not direct relatives in the X-Men filmic universe.

well at one time considering how first Class was made there was speculation
Last Stand was non-canon it's better to assume origins as cannon till they
give us otherwise.The bone claws In Origins for wolverine preadamanturm are at begining of the wolverine.And when asked the emma frost question Lauren Shueller Donnor said that wasn't emma In Oriigns not that Origins was outright

It was stated they are related but not said exactly how.There was some
speculation they were using havok as Cyclops llon lost Older brother he didn't know about from Ultimate X-Men.

First Class itself does in fact provide the source for the idea that Alex and Scott are not directly related, but I also distinctly remember statements from the filmmakers supporting and indicating this as well. I can't remember exactly when or where these statements we're made, just that they were in fact made.

Nothing has ever been stated or insinuated that Scott and Alex aren't related. At most they just made Alex the older brother.

Well if the school was set up in 1962, and Jean, Scott, and Ororoe didn't enroll until the 80s... then there would be students who joined before them for twenty-some years. Would this still constitute Jean, Scott, and Ororoe as some of his 'first students'? I'll let you decide.

Alright let me give you my thoughts on the X-men timeline. Many people disagree I guess, but it makes sense to me.

Magneto as early teen boy during WW2 - 1944
First Class (Cuban Missile Crisis) - 1962
Origins Wolverine (Three Mile Island Meltdown) - 1979
X-men, X2, The Last Stand (15 years, stated by Stryker, sense Three Mile Island) - 1994

The fact that the original trilogy doesn't give a specific date as to when it takes place but just says sometime in "future" gives me instinct that they didn't want to tie it down to when they made the film, but also wanted to give the audience the fantasy that this might happen in the future. I think the original x-men movies take place in 1990's. That pretty much clears up much of the ages of characters, also fits with the canon of the films.

they didnt have a ****ing clue about what they wanted with Alex and Scott around FC shoot. both were in the movie and then Singer says it wasnt possible, lol what a joke
