Justice League: News and Speculation - Part 1

The only thing I could think would happen for this would be Chris Nolan as EP and Syncopy as one of the production companies, if we're lucky Jonah Nolan might rewrite the script, considering he said he would like to adapt more DC characters.

For MOS, Chris Nolan is the Producer not Executive Producer, I don't think that he would like to serve as an EP which is basically a producer in name only.

Like Steven Spielberg was an EP for Transformer movies.

I know what he is for Man of Steel. I just don't think he'd want to produce a Justice League film, hence EP so WB can attach his name to it.

I hope not. The batman movies werer great but he's been using that formula for everything he's written since tdk. Persons of interest and terminator salvation are very dark knight-ish. I'd rather have. Bruce Timm or dcau writer do it. They are more in tune with the characters than the Nolan's are.

Personally, I'd let Grant Morrison and Mark Waid be the consultants from DC on the script.

You know, i've always wondered why you never see comic book writers as consultants or writers on superhero movie screenplays. You'd think the studios would turn to these guys since they know the material so well.

Brubaker, JMS, and Geoff Johns had input on Captain America, Thor, and Green Lantern respectively.

As much as I liked gl:rebirth,jaime reyes as blue beetle, and some of the superman comics he wrote, Geoff johns is a terrible consultant. He let green lantern happen. Kept saying it was amazing, that the guy who played hector hammond was on par with heath's joker. It wasn't even close.

I followed the lead-up to the Green Lantern movie like crazy, I don't remember once seeing him saying anything about Heath Ledger in reference to Sarsgaard and Hector Hammond. Google didn't bring anything up either.

He's supposed to say good things. Everyone will say the movie they're working on is great no matter what. If they don't, they're doing it wrong. And for all you know he actually believed those things, because as far as I'm concerned he was on point with the praise he actually gave the movie. I loved it. So there's a decent chance someone else would, especially if that someone else was the guy that had been dedicated to the franchise for nearly a decade. But even if he doesn't believe it, he said what his job requires him to say.

Also, Geoff Johns was consultant on the script. That was it, it was the execs that decided to neuter the film. Why would Geoff say the film is possibly underwhelming after just getting his fancy new promotion at DC?

I believe Geoff thought Gl was awesome-the excitement which he expressed about it tells me so.That or hes a very good liar.Either way I dont want him near a JL movie or any DC movie property for that matter just not to risk it.

I'd be alright with him being involved. I'd also be alright with Waid and Morrison.

Well, not alright, ****ing psyched is more like it. And Waid wouldn't have to work with DiDio so if they went for him he might do it.

Morrison and Waid must've undoubtedly written the greatest Justice League run. Neither of them will be working for Didio (If Morrison doesn't like Didio) so it could be more feasible for them to do it, and Morrison is looking to get into writing films, so a Justice League film would be immense for him.

We really don't know about WB's plans (of DC movies) after MOS.

They have not released any info officially so far.
