Now you people know why I feel Rothman should stand some form of trial for his crimes.
I have a feeling Prometheus 2 and 3 could well end up being those films anyway. Except what we'll lose in James Cameron as a writer and producer (I.E. he certainly would've prevented some monumentally bad decisions in the editing room and he could've reigned Lindelof a bit) we'll gain in total Fassbenderness.

Steven Spielberg's The Talisman: He would've knocked it out of the park back in his E.T./Jurassic Park days.

I'm not sure, but I think Hitchcock turned down a Bond movie.

Crom's beard! How could I have not thought of this! Yes! Yes! A million times, YES!
Dino De Laurentis totally screwed the pooch in having someone else write & direct Conan The Destroyer. Thanks to that film sucking beyond belief, the planned third installment in the trilogy was never made. All we got was a super crappy Red Sonja and mediocre at best Kull The Conqueror. |

Instead of all these great movies we get sequel after sequel of American Pie and Saw. And then remakes and reboots and ugh, I can't go on anymore.

What are you talking about? 90% of these films were franchise based already, that would have had lots of sequels, or were most of them would have been remakes already.

Well, a studio doesn't want to have to pay James Cameron when they can get Paul W.S. Anderson and Stephen Sommers for cheap, to make a cheaper film.

At the Mountains of Madness by GDT, however I hold hope it still may make it someday.
I'm probably the only person ever to say, but Pink Flamingos 2: Flamingos Forever. I'm not a super diehard John Waters fan, but the original is such an absurd film, and I do lov eit for being a great piece of trash cinema. The script for PF2 exists in a book of screenplays by Waters, but once Divine was gone, it was best it never got made. Ghostbusters III, because I'm officially convince dit isn't happening. I never even considered it until the videogame from '09, and then everything sort of fired up and people were talking, and scripts were written and deals began mvoing forward, but by now I feel like we are right back where we started. Its gone through at least two full scripts, possibly three and several more treatments. I don't think Murray will ever say yes, and everyone else is getting old, so I'd say if something isn't done withing this year, it will never happen. And god hoping the actors take the rights to their graves, so we don't have to suffer a mediocre reboot someday.

True but I always find that short sighted, and really it was what Rothman did lets say. Some one like Cameron is Box Office draw, I think any exec would be blind not to see that.

You over estimate their intelligence. Some of them are just accountants who happen to be working in film.

The original script for Nottingham, a.k.a. Ridley Scott's Robin Hood. I've read it, and it seems to me like it's one ore two minor editorial changes (slightly more heroic Robin, for one, possibly more of an open ending for sequels.) to make it a fun flipside to the cliche Robin Hood story.

Yeah, now that was something that was interesting when I heard it.
In fact, Scott's film was so damn bland I just wanted a fun swashbuckling Hugh Jackman kind of thing. Hell, Kevin Costner's version was a hell of a lot better than that.

Clint was apparently supposed to play Harvey Dent on the Adam West show, but the character was deemed too gruesome.

actually he was set to appear in the 4th season, but since the show got cancelled nearing the end of the 3rd season it never happened. would have been pretty cool to see Clint as Harvey/Two-Face
