Does anyone else dislike the clay origin? I think it makes her even more unrelatable than Superman and she's put on an even higher pedestal.

I like it because it is unique and different. I also like the aspect of her not really having a father.

I dislike the origin of her being the daughter of Zeus because it comes across as unoriginal and takes away the unique quality of her origin. To me it is like they just transplanted Hercules' origin.

Feminine isn't synonymous with less violent/less destructive nor is a rope. For centuries a rope has been used for capital punishment. Positioning either masculinity or femininity as superior is anti-feminist.

Not only is the sword as a phallic symbol legitimate (which is why it caught on after Freud said it), but we see that the sword-wielding incarnations of Wonder Woman are devoid of femininity, not by any overt anything, but simply because not associating Wonder Woman with femininity leads one to make her more like various male heroes, who all use swords. This, incidentally, makes her less unique overall, as femininity is the genesis of her creation and the only thing aside from her supporting cast, that sets her apart significantly from Superman. Creators overlooking this is a direct product of equating femininity to having boobs, whether for good or ill, and it's quite a bit more awesome than that.

I say all that to say, that the rope being her unique weapon argument IS the femininity weapon argument. They rope comes her femininity and making her unique comes from her femininity, and the rope comes from making her unique and vice versa for all. It's not separate issues.

It's not really unique. Pygmalion and Pinocchio. The problem with it is that it makes Wonder Woman perfect from the start. The idea that she's an ideal woman is a huge part of the problem because it becomes loaded with so many expectations.

Also, tons of superheroes have no parents. It's unique for Wonder Woman to have both a mother and a father. Each parent is very different, each parent she inherits something from, and each parent she learns to have a relationship with. That makes her more relatable and enriches her story.

I've already said my piece on how her origin of birth should be should they decided to include it.

A mix of both origins in a sense; her being made form clay by Hippolyta and Zeus using his god powers to give her life. A simple compromise that stays true to both origins from comics, and is straight from Greek Mythology; from Pymalion's story, to the birth of Athena from Zeus, to Zeus giving children to many women.
I rather Diana not be one of Zeus' many, many, bastard children birthed by mortals, she'll be compared to Hercules enough as it is, we don't need Zeus' blood running through her literally. It's what would set her apart from most of his other demi-god children and would most likely only aid in her relation to Athena.

??? That's not true at all. Symbolism can be inherent if it was intentionally designed to be a symbol. The American flag is inherently symbolic. As an object it represents the nation symbolically. It's design symbolically represents 50 states and 13 colonies.

That's quite different from a sword that is designed for a practical function whereas a flag/logo/symbol's primary function is to represent something.

Also, the idea that Wonder Woman or any woman must embody femininity is very old-fashioned. Not only are you forcing the definition of femininity but you're also imposing it. The truth is all women and men have different masculine and feminine qualities and it would be an extreme to be exclusively either. Wonder Woman should share that contemporary truth. She was never "devoid of femininity".

You might as well say she should wear pink with your argument as to why she should have a rope.

You're confusing different definitions of masculine and feminine from different contexts.

There's masculine/feminine as a shape analogy for objects like a male plug and a female outlet. That's only descriptive of the form. It doesn't mean they're masculine/feminine in the more relevant cultural sense which is in terms of gender qualities.
