i could see them using the Liberators from the Ultimate comics before the Masters of Evil (which is kind of a hokey name when you think about it). |

Even if the name is played out, it could work in a film.

I see Iron Man nicknaming them the Masters of Evil, even if the villains try to come up with a more serious name. Maybe they'll call themselves the Masters, and Stark adds "of evil" to it.
If he provokes them enough, he'll be labelled a masters baiter.

They woudl probably just be called 'the masters' the same way the brotherhod of evil mutants are just 'the brotherhood' in the X-Men films.

Good. This fits with his desire to make it a "smaller" movie. I'm still trying to figure out how a huge cosmic threat like Thanos fits in there. They're still pretty new to each other. Maybe taking them off-world and forcing them to work together could be one way to highlight the interactions.

Maybe they'll be fighting a 2-inch tall, tiny Thanos!

In case you're not joking, yes, I know he's not actually going to be small. What I meant was that Thanos is usually tied to huge events occurring in the universe. When I hear Whedon say he's going smaller, I assume he means that there will be more focus on the characters rather than a big fight like the NYC throwdown. Maybe their fight is to interrupt him before he starts doing things like evaporating half of all life in the universe. The rumored kidnapping of Tony could also work to make the Thanos story more personal.

But yes, I'm thinking of something along those lines as well. The team will be pushed to their limits by one single villain, Thanos, rather than by Loki's trickery and a giant army of aliens. That would definitely make for an even better movie, like Whedon has been saying. |

I don't actually recall Whedon ever saying he would make the movie smaller. He just said the plan wasn't to go bigger. Not the same thing IMO.

Do you think Avengers 2 will bring the Guardians of the Galaxy into the film like the comics
(based on the movie) have recently done. And have Iron Man go into space with them? |

Yes, I think they will be in the movie. And yes, Iron Man will be in space and meet them to some extent.

Hope not. I'd rather them focus on the characters they have.

Well Feige just said GotG would be 95% in space and is less of a tie-in movie than any other movie.

This
I would rather they develop the characters relationships from the first movie and perhaps add a couple ofther characters. Whedon and Renner both want to develop Hawkeye a bit more as well seeing as he was brainwashed most the Avengers and isn't showing up in any other Phase 2 films besides the avengers sequel.

I know we're basically past the Planet Hulk/WWH business by now, but reiterating:

El Maybe might say that Whedon changed the script just to spite him. Maybe it was originally Planet Hulk.
