I'll be going to see this in theatres, but I really hate the blue tint. I don't know why, it just drives me crazy.

I almost always hate the blue tint because it is something that is mostly used by untalented directors who use it in place of actually coming up with a way to make their movies look interesting.

I really want to like this movie, but I'm getting a real uneasy feeling about it.

That's how I feel, and I was very excited when the trailers dropped.

Is one supposed to feel calm during a Die Hard movie?

Oh yeah? I doubt they made this for under 28 million dollars. Anyway, I think cutting back on the budget is a good thing. Makes the action smaller, more personal and human. I don't think there's need for a 200 million dollar Die Hard. And, generally, I think there's too many huge budgeted movies out there.

I am not a fan of the run time. Not at all. Hopefully the reviews are the film's saving grace.

I hated the last Die Hard and thought that Die Harder was a mediocre redo of the first film so I don't know what the runtime should mean to me one way or the other?

I don't mind the 97 minute run time. An hour and a half is plenty for an action movie. Would I like it to be longer? Sure! I'll take all the Die Hard I can get. But 97 minutes is a decent enough length.

In case anyone was wondering how the film would look without the filters, watch this Italian trailer:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ajvD...sBN-OqU8P36lRw They probably used the wrong master, before the color scheme was digitally post-processed. |

Could be wrong, but I get the feeling that the scene of them falling through glass with the helicopter on fire falling in front of them is the end, and the bad guy is in that helicopter. If it is I'm gonna be upset. I don't like being able to guess and see how the bad guy gets taken out before seeing the film.
And does anyone actually know what the bad guy's name or plan is? I have no idea whatsoever. ALl the trailers have played up the Jack?John storyline. What about the bad guy? Is this a Die Hard film or a family reunion?

In Die hard it was the explosion on the roof top before he confronted hans. In live free it was the jet exploding before he killed timothy, and although die harder throws a wrench in that theory, there was still a good fit fight on the wing.

I will probably see it but the fact they are releasing it in February when the last one came out in the month of August of that year does not bode well.
By the way, people who dislike Live Free or Die Hard should try watching the unrated DVD version, it seemed a lot better than the theatrical. Not sure why, there weren't a lot of differences...probably hearing Bruce Willis swear at an R-rated level and a little more violence somehow makes a difference. |

I think there's an inherent rawness to the Die Hard series in general that was missing in 'Live Free or Die Hard', which felt too clean and glossy despite some bumps and bruises.

And btw, it's always trouble when Fox goes to their boys Mark Bomback or Skip Woods to write their screenplays. Studio tools, and it makes me worry about Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.

I actually think 'Old habits Die hard' is clever.
