Nops. What I saw and read is that, when you beat Heaven or Hell, you only unlock Hell or Hell. When you beat Hell or Hell, you get nothing, just concept art.

Finished it today. Really enjoyed it.

Because I was craving more, I went and started playing DMC 4 again and man... I don't think I can enjoy classic Dante again now.. He's just so... shallow.

Yea i agree man. Iv connected with this world and its characters FAR more than i ever did with the old games.

Anything I get is people using Amazon as a source. There the game hasn't cracked the top 50. That's all I got.

No you don't. The NPD doesn't release weekly numbers and they are the only trusted, accurate source for sales data for the industry.

Hasn't cracked the top 50 in the states. I believe it's quite high in Europe(11th On 360, 12th on ps3 as I type this) and Japan.

I have to wait until Friday. Found it pretty cheap for the PC, but the release date is still a week away.

Not at all. I still love my memories of classic Dante, but after this game, every line of dialogue and every scene involving classic Dante in DMC 4 feels like a cardboard cut out. Still cool fight scenes in the cutscenes but like Pat said, it just doesn't pull you into the game world as well as DMC does.

Shallow or not, the classic Dante is still more fun imo

I had my grudge against this new Dante, still have some to be honest, but as some say about film reboots; it's a different take, give it a different look

I watched a lot of the cutscenes, and actually think the new Dante isn't too bad. As long as he interacts with normal characters. Once he interacts with bosses and tries to act tough, it's like they've let some online rage kid write the script.

If you are bringing up DMC 4, you have to understand that it is the one game where Dante is actually simply doing his devil hunting. It is him doing work, him having fun. It is not some in depth character study. Nero's narrative is the focus. It would be like basing Solid Snake's character off of only Sons of Liberty. An more appropriate comparison would be Devil May Cry and Devil May Cry 3 (Mundus and Vergil), where Dante has plenty of depth. Still, plenty there, especially if you understand the the character. Probably the best interpretation of the original Dante post Devil May Cry. He is past the point where such lonely demons and humans can test him and his manner and strength demonstrate that perfectly.

The best Dante characterization for me is still the original game's. Less can be more, especially when the less is perfect.

I've always preferred DMC3 Dante out of all his previous appearances. His scenes with Lady in particular were great.

Has anyone seen the Japanese Trailer yet? It makes me actually think the game might not be so bad. But that's because they do a mighty fine job at avoiding showing anything that I dislike. And the music is great.

I don't see how classic Dante was any more mature than new Dante when it came to taunting Demons. Classic Dante dropped more corny one liners than an 80's Arnie film

Hands down, this is by far the best Devil May Cry that i've played. This new take on Dante was a smart move, he seemed more like an actual character instead of a one-dimensional badass. Not saying the previous Dante was a bad character, he was good for the generation of games he emerged from. Finished the game yesterday and started another playthrough on Son of Sparda
