Dante has white hair and Vergil is set to be the Villain. Basically back at DMC 3. Nothings really too different at that point. Also Since the Demons are in the real world I would think Dante would open up shop as well. Thats something I really hope they dont ditch. Its pretty much the base for the original game and title. I also think Lady would make the most sense to bring in, since there would probably be other demon killers goen around and shes a perfect contrast for Dante. NT could probably do some awesome things with the banter between them.

So I decided to keep this game. I was originally going to trade it back within the 7 day EB policy, after I'd played it through so I could review it on my radio show, but after finishing it I think I'll keep it.

Started my Son of Sparda playthrough and yup, I'm hooked. Also, he looks so great with the White hair you unlock that he just looks like a young Dante anyway. I reckon if he'd looked like that to begin with people would have been cool with it but I'm glad they stuck to their guns because it made

that whole end fight scene when you're first getting your hair, totally kick ass

Also, Nathan, I think you've done yourself a massive disservice by not playing this game. Sure you've seen the 'story' from youtube but it's really not the same. It's an interactive medium and you've denied yourself the chance for the game to have any of the impact the developers have intended.

I'm saying I expect sales to be the same as DMC3 or better

Only thing Ive seen on sales, its for UK.

Launch week sales for DmC Devil May Cry were just a third of the amount that previous entry Devil May Cry 4 sold during its launch week in 2008.

That's despite DmC having an extra three days on sale - it launched last Tuesday, compared to Devil May Cry 4's Friday launch, the traditional day that new video games hit shop shelves in the UK.

DmC still made the top spot, however - the first time Capcom has gained pole position since the launch of Resident Evil 5, almost four years ago.

gameplay is great. Im really curious on what theyre gonna do for the sequel (they do one)

I really dont care about dantes look. Ironicly my favorite dante in terms of looks was from dmc2.

I prefer dmc reboot dante over dmc3 dante with the bra strap.

Top sales and it sells this little amount of units?
Video game sales dropping much?

Seems that way. Wonder how this did in Japan.

I think DMC4 sold about 200k in the UK. So DmC probably is between 60-70k for there.

That already doesn't look good. Sure, it's the number 1 spot, but it only sold a 3rd of the amount the previous game sold? And that despite the entire revamp to appeal to a larger audience? What's everyone's view on this, if sales should happen to be poor everywhere? Will they try to push DmC2 anyway, hoping that DmC's good scores will net a bigger audience, when the sequel comes around? Will they cave to Fan demand and release DMC5? Or will DMC slowly, but surely, disappear into obscurity and get game releases done by fans, or for iOS system, just like Mega Man is now?

I think, if DmC does poorly, then that's it for the franchise. I don't believe in Capcom getting their act together.

lets try remember most of Europe still recovering from the recession and what happening in Greece. They said as much on both EPD.TV/ ROTR and GT on sales over all and why the ps vita isn't doing so great last year. and the tax's in the uk are insane too.

I dunno, they say it still its the first time a Capcom game has had the top spot since RE 5. Also, the first week for games isn't quite the same as it is for films. A lot of people wait a few weeks and aren't the 'pre-order/day one' type. I'm happy to wait and see.

Realistically though, if DmC has all these great reviews then Capcom know its a marketing, branding and image problem and that's something for them to work on.

But if a game like Darksiders can get a sequel, so can this.

Well, how much did Darksiders sell? I see the 360 version almost sold 1 Million, but I can't find the PS3 sales.

Capcom is expecting around 2 million in sales, so rather or not they hit that won't be determined this soon. Few games hit that number a week after release. Good review scores and good word of mouth should get it close to that number. Like Wolvieboy said, there's a large percentage of users who will take that wait and see approach.

From what Ive read from people. X Box has much better frame rate. PS3 slightly better graphics. Personally I cant tell on graphics, framrate on X box looks better though. PC owns both.

I think the biggest differences between the two is that the PS3 suffers from more environmental pop ins than the 360 does.

Regarding Darksiders, I think it took a while before it hit one mil and it was a January release too.

Another example of why games and gamers are not taken seriously

Gamers want President Obama to pull DmC from stores

Quote:
Dear Mr. Obama: As a consumer to the Video Game Industry there is one Video Game that has caused a lot of controversy over the past few month's.

The name of the game is DmC: Devil May Cry made by Ninja Theory and Capcom. A majority of gamer's are aggravated that this game has changed so much from it's past predecessors and the game actually insults the consumers in-game.

We, as consumers did not want nor need this reboot and we believe it violates our rights to have a choice between the original's or the reboot. This game is violating our rights as a consumer and we believe it should be pulled off shelves from game stores due to it's insulting nature and the fact that it violates our rights.

Please Mr. Obama, look into your heart and make the decision that will please us Gamers.

Disgusting. Makes me wish Dante were real and for him to encounter these goons. They'd shut up real quickly.

What an idiot, if you dislike a game that bad, leave it on the ****in shelf. IMO, the reboot was alot better in every aspect. Treat it as an alternate universe that caters to the western audience...smh
