Not including stuff that isn't the focus of the movie isn't "historical inaccuracy".

Look up terms.

God i hope not...I forgot about Argo again. I think Argo can win Best Pic.

Lincoln is a oscar type film and these people love them some Spielberg.

Lincoln won't do well if it doesn't do well at the guilds

People forget how the ballots are cast for oscars, while Lincoln might get more 1st place votes, Argo would pick up many 2nd/3rd votes to the win

And what happens if Affleck wins the DGA? Crazy times ahead.

Ago winning the PGA obviously means that it's the frontrunner now. I see Lincoln getting best director and Argo winnning best picture.

I can't help but think that Argo is getting sympathy votes more than anything.

We still need to see how the other Guild Awards play out along with BAFTAs to see how this will play out. Argo without BD nom is still big.

What do you mean? The Hurt Locker won both the PGA and best picture Oscar in 2010 and The Kings Speech won the PGA and Best picture oscar in 2011 not to mention that The Artist won both just last year. It's never a lock but I'd say Argo has a great chance of winning.

I'll say this, Argo isn't as much of a lock as those films because of the absence of a BD nom.

I was talking about when we all thought that Fincher would win Best Director and King's Speech would win Best Picture.

And everyone of those films' directors had a Best Director nomination and win. But Argo doesn't have that.

Only one movie has won best picture and not had a BD nomination since the 30s.

After Speech won the PGA award all bets were off, it was a lock to win best picture and best director because of the DGA wins. Before those awards people thought it was an open race, afterwards 98% Of people predicted Speech would win best pic annd director at the Oscars. I vividly remember that awards season.

BTW the SAG are on right now and Hathaway and TLJ locked up thier Oscar wins by winning in the supporting category. I expect Chastain and DDL to solidify them winning the Oscar for best actor and actress respectively.

I love both actresses and will be happy for Chastain if she wins but I want Lawrence to win.

I think Chastain has the edge because her film isn't a comedy, she is actually the lead of her film and she's not 22 years old. Not saying it's fair but I see the age thing hurting Lawrence because they might feel she's to young and new to win. I just have the feeling that Chastain will win, if she doesn't I will be a little surprised honestly.

Watching Silver Linings Playbook, it's very obvious Lawrence's role was written with an older actress in mind.

I love Lawrence, but Chastain was my favorite performance of the 5. Best actress is the only category where I've seen all the performances.

I believe Hathaway was suppose to play the part but TDKR? got in the way of filming.

I can't remember if TDKR was the one that got in the way but there was a scheduling conflict and she dropped out. Wahlberg dropped out after her too. So it became Cooper and Lawrence.

There we go. Lawrence takes it. Doesn't lock her for the Oscar but certainly front runner now.

Wow. Jennifer beat Jessica for the SAG Award. I'm very surprised.

Nothing to do with who deserves it more, I just felt like Jessica had it in the bag.
