It's not hard to imagine he had corrupt cops fill the drums of explosives and dump them on the ferries prior to him threatening the bridges. He was expecting the people to get on the ferries.

Well yeah, he loaded every ferry with oil drums and whichever one they loaded the passengers on didn't matter.

Only thing that seemed really out of place was the bus lining up with all the others and the blast at the station taking everyone out but him cause he was in the right spot. They did that just for the cool factor.

I'm not buying that explaination. It's a hugely populated city and one that happens to be in a bit of a panic already. Someone would have spotted them and tipped off the cops. Plus it doesn't explain the hospital bomb.

It isn't a moments notice. They also aren't "giant bombs". The gangs clearly had access to heavy firepower, explosives wouldn't be a stretch at all. Also, he doesn't smuggle them everywhere. He blows up one hospital and sets up two boats to blow, both which were clearly planned out.

As to the terror alert thing. One of the Joker's method is keeping the cops moving. They never get a chance to sit still or properly think. He has them on the run. When they are handling one thing he has done, he is doing his thing somewhere else. It is why he puts on the manhunt and stretches the police force to have to evacuate every hospital. It is why when he goes after Harvey, he also gets two other targets. Why take Rachel and Harvey? Because it stretches the force. He is constantly making them make decisions. Joker and his crew simply overpowers those that don't already cooperate with him.

It is also what I think Silva was doing in Skyfall and it would explain why only Bond was able to "save" M from her own stupidity.

Though what I didn't understand is why they simply didn't prepare for Silva's arrival. They were in contact and if I am correct they already knew his disguise.

The cops who are either scrambling or corrupt? They were looking for the missing bus and missing DA after having their station blown up, cops killed, the murder of an ADA, a hospital being blown up, a massive evacuation, and the stopping of a manhunt.

Boy, you really are stretching to cover up the film's BS. I've said all my peace before in 2008 on that stink of a movie and really wasn't looking to stroll down bad-memory lane.

Look, you want to like the film and will forgive and concoct convoluted excuses for all manner of stuff that doesn't work in it. Fine, that's your prerogative. As far as I'm concerned it's still a thoroughly crappy movie and one of the worst I've seen in the last 10 years.

No but the hospital bomb could explain how they were able to load the ferries without notice. All of GPD were heading to hospitals and the priority was Gotham General.

Nice distraction to get some other things moving.

Also, I thought there were only two ferries, are there more I'm not aware of?

They aren't excuses. The film makes it pretty clear what is going on and how it is happening. It all makes perfect sense. You can call it convoluted, but you are clearly unwilling or incapable of actually explaining your pov, while I did.

Labeling is very easy. Backing up that point is the hard part.

If you are going to get hung up on the "unbelievable" or "convoluted", the "bread crumb" plan to get Silva to follow Bond and M is something should be getting killed.

I feel like when there's a franchise as big and legendary like Bond, as a fan, you'll need some perspective on the bigger picture sometimes. When there's a well liked film like..Skyfall or Casino Royale are leaps and bounds better than Diamonds are Forever or Die Another Day, we should sort of...appreciate it.

Yes..Even if you don't like them. I am a firm believer of that you can dislike a film, but you can still respect it at a certain level. I hope you're in that group, Kendrell.

I think that might be sound if he's been watching non-stop Kurosawa, Hitchcock or Godard movies for the past decade.
