I feel like you are blaming FOX too much. Sorry but making movies is expensive and it takes a lot of manpower. If some people are hesitant to spend 4 million for a superbowl ad, what about a studio spending at least $50 million for a Shadowcat movie when they have the option to do another X-Men team movie (which is probably going to sell more).

Joss will never be able to do a Kitty movie. Fox will never let go of X-Men. And I wouldn't want Whedon to do a x-men movie anyway. I'm Team Singer. Just like i'm Team Cyclops Was Right in the comic universe. haha.

Fox wouldn't have to let go of X-Men to do a Kitty movie by Joss.

Isn't Joss signed by Disney. So he wouldn't be able to do an X-Men movie? If anything it would be a major conflict of interest that i don't think Disney and Fox want to deal with.

^You must not know how movies work. He's a director they can't hold him like they do with actors.

Because Elektra tanked for FOX and Catwoman tanked for Warners, we've not gotten much in the way of female lead live-action comic films in particular. They just sweep all the male-lead underperformers for their business under the rug and carry on business as usual. It's pretty sad but since it's been like 10 years since they greenlit those they might throw one freakin' bone out there. Who knows if they'll invest the money (like they would for a real man's project) or a quality script on such a new venture though. Disney Marvel Studios might take the "risk" (groan) since they're flush with $$$ success in general lately.

Personally I dont want any more solo films for anyone. Just have a good ensemble movie, Joss is good with that

Still would be a conflict of interest imo. Fox wouldn't want to risk Whedon sabotaging the X-Men franchise.

how on earth will Joss sabotage the X-Men franchise with a Kitty movie? lol

He loves the character and the universe, and even if the movie were bad, the X-Men team movies would be a different story, and a Kitty movie wouldnt have a negative impact on the team sequels, so... that made no sense, hehe

Anyone who says stuff like that clearly hasn't read his Astonishing X-Men run, where Kitty was front and center. The only thing that might prevent him from doing it is that Fox has bitten him in the past with some of his projects he's done for them like Firefly and Dollhouse. Maybe the film division is better, but he'd probably want more control to stop them from butting in too much.

There's a big difference between Fox the studio and Fox the network.Fox the studio produced buffy and angel. It was because of the studio Fox that dollhouse got the 13th episode which setup season 2.Fox the studio's support helped Dollhouse get a second season.

I think it would be great if they made a Kitty Pryde film. The X-Men could use this angle for the franchise. The character is young, smart, and brave. She appeals to a large demographic that either Disney or Fox can tap into. I'm surprised they haven't gotten anywhere with their Runaways film, but that's the breaks. They should have proceeded with New Mutants already because First Class won't be young much longer.

Ellen is maybe going to star in a Queen & Country movie (great comic btw). Fox wants to build a franchise around her, which would be cool.

It's really good. But then again it's written by Greg Rucka, his stuff is always good.

I'm really curious to know if Shadowcat has another outfit than this.

I want her to have a costume like what Prof X/Magneto/Storm/Bishop/Wolverine/Iceman are wearing.

Does Ellen Page ever age, AT ALL? She looks almost exactly the same now as she did in Juno. She is the PERFECT choice to play Kitty, hopefully she gets more to do here than she did in X3, although I liked her actual performance in that movie. Iceman looks good with a beard.

No she doesn't. She's like Wolverine.

I think the only reason Shaun has got a beard is to age him, otherwise I'd say the same "Shaun, u ever age!?!?!?"

Him and Ellen are in two different leagues when it comes to aging. She looks immortal.
