So apparently we go down memory lane back to X1 because the way Kitty gets hurt is by none other than Wolverine himself who stabs her after having an altercation and almost waking up. From there they show Magneto, Iceman, and Professor X saving Rogue (Prof X is seen looking at the burning mansion from within the blackbird), although that actual saving from the mansion is cut and we only get to see the ride home which is shown in the trailer and also contains action because they are being chased by hundreds of sentinels which causes Magneto to have to destroy the blackbird to make the sentinels believe they died inside the jet (blackbird being destroyed is also shown in trailer). How exactly they get out of the jet, trick the sentinels, and make it back to the temple I am not sure.
