Well its always hard for fans to accept and let go of the version of a francise that they grew up with or loved the most. They try to hold on to the hope that it will/should continue even though its clearly played out. The same thing happened with the 90's Batman series and The Raimi Spiderman series. In this case WB had stated for a while that we were getting a reboot.

Of course this is Hollywood and things change , but I think as of now WB is moving forward , and I suspect we aren't getting a rebooted Batman for quite some time .

Of course you can make the argument, it's just people don't want to accept the argument. That's what's going on here, people don't want to accept it that Nolan's Batman was only ever intended to be it's own thing, they keep making excuses like downplaying the realism and tone and saying that it's not too difficult to imagine this or that happening outside of Gotham (that one makes me laugh). Truth is people who want Bale's Batman want him not because it's good for JL, but because it's what they want. They want to see the current Batman and current Superman on film together and it bugs the crap out of them that it won't happen. Call it Marvel envy.

Yeah, it's like Nolan never said his Batman was its own thing. And I doubt WB would try to force his Batman into anything else and hurt their relationship with him.

That's an awfully big brush you're painting everyone with. Maybe you should stop ascribing your pet theories to everyone in the forum.

I have my own reasons for wanting to see this, but they damn sure don't have anything to do with the nonsense you're spouting off.

I don't think it's realistic to get Christian Bale back to don the cowl and cape for a fourth time. Three distant reasons he might come back: He would either have to be blown away by the new script; a director he wants to work with is doing it; or if Nolan ever comes back to do another Batman outing.

The possibility of Bale coming back is slim to none. There are only two likely scenarios that'll happen: WB will either bring JGL back or recast Bruce Wayne/Batman with a different actor. Bringing JGL to play a new Bruce Wayne/Batman is illogical and stupid, he'll be playing the character he started in TDKR or he won't be in JL at all.

I'm pretty sure its gonna be Wayne. I do think some execs may have been kicking around the JGl idea at some point but I suspect the other side won the argument,mainly because Blake or not, they do want solo Batman films which they can re-use characters like Joker, Two Face, Catwoman etc.

They're not gonna pidgeon hold themselves into by limiting the villains they used because they're dead in the Nolanverse or because it would take a lot of retconning or baggage to bring them back.

From the sounds of it, WB is treading lightly with this shared movie DCU anyway. There is NO WAY they'd run a risk the size of using a non-Bruce Wayne Batman for Justice League if this movie will ever happen. Seems that sense is returning to this company by way of superhero movies albeit a little at a time. Hopefully they'll heed the second red flag and get someone other than JGL as to not confuse the audience with how the man with the Nolan Robin's face is now Bruce Wayne. Someone's point from a while ago that some gen audience people don't even know that Spiderman and Superman are from different comic companies is very real. I saw a prime example on Facebook the other day. Spaceship sized facepalm worthy -_-

Goyer has many many more misses than hits on his resume, which is obvious once you read his IMDB page. And his few successes have been as a co-writer on films directed by superior directors. He is in no way shape or form equivalent to Feige or Whedon or even [insert top shelf screenwriter here].

Without his collaboration with Nolan, Goyer would be considered a B or C list scriptwriter/doctor and nothing more. Hes failed as a director and producer and has never been an executive at any level as far as I know. His paltry comics experience is irrelevant and WB isnt desperate/foolish enough to give him any kind of oversight power. There are plenty of better options.

The unfortunate truth is that there is no equivalent to Feige or Whedon at DC/WB. If there were, I assure you we wouldnt be discussing the possibility of a JL coming BEFORE a WW or Flash (etc) movie. Thank God someone eventually saw light.

If WB truly believes in the viability of these characters on the big screen, they need to make solo movies first. Period. Full ****ing stop.

This is what will happen, MOS will do extremely well to a point that WB will drop their nuts and go with a MOS sequel rather than a JLA movie because why take a risk in JLA when a MOS sequel would be a sure thing business wise.

Alot of people couldn't comprehend the Dredd reboot either which is why there was so many people calling it a remake of Stallone's Judge Dredd.
