Ew, no. The less influence from the current series, the better. I can't stand Matt Fraction's take on Clint.

I refer you to my previous statement.

I'm sure we'll get one at some point, but I'm not so sure it'll be any time soon. MAYBE after Episode VII is released. MAYBE. But even then, I'll be somewhat surprised.

I'm guessing we'll see Extremis stuff, which explains that shot of Coulson viewing a reversed Extremis explosion.
or it could be Nitro.

Phil Coulson is the only one not in the running since he already got the "die cute" treatment in The Avengers.

We can also speculate on the manner of death that will be used. Impalement is always a good bet, but that might be a little overused at this point. Perhaps immolation is a possibility, keeping it alliterative and all.
HA!! I thinking that myself. Y know Joss(Thanos)=death of a character

Or just download it. Hopefully NCIS won't take away too many viewers. ABC really has confidence in this to put it up against that.

I thought the Hawkeye series was great! I'd love to see more of that characterization in the MCU. Also, Kate Bishop is great in that too. If they can't get Clint, I'd at least like to see her.

There's an idea: Maybe Joss should don a mocap suit and play Thanos in TA2. That way he could get hands-on with his killing, instead of using characters as his proxies.

Add me to the list of people who dislike the current Hawkeye series. Both the writing and artwork are terrible. The world's greatest marksman is consistently drawn with no eyes/flesh-colored eyes; in fact most of the characters look like lumps of pink clay. And this carefree bachelor has somehow acquired an annoying teenage girl as a sidekick in one of the weirdest relationships ever, if you don't count his bizarre affair with Spider-Woman. I wish they would scrape the female barnacles off Clint and give him his balls back. And his eyes. He really needs those to shoot with.

The one thing I really can't stand about this series is we're supposed to believe Coulson is alive when we all see him dead in "The Avengers".

It's a stupid twist.

Why can't they just leave the character dead as it is? Why do they have to bring him back alive?

Cuz he's awesome, and this is set in a superhero universe where people die and come back from the dead all the time, and cuz shut up that's why.

2 reasons

1) Joss Whedon found a way for it to work from a story perspective

2) Fan demand #CoulsonLives

3.) It was intended all along.

there are really endless possibilities as to why.

Here's hoping there's a damn good reason. Fan demand shouldn't be considered in this case. Anytime you magically bring someone back from the dead, it cheapens any future deaths in your story. I hope they know what they're doing.

Haha. I'm really glad Coulson's coming back, am totally psyched for the show, etc... however, THAT I'm not buying.

Why? The MCU has a chance to correct one of the glaring mistakes of comics, not copy it.

There are definitely going to be characters that get killed off and brought back to life especially if this goes on long enough. It's inevitable. It's already here. It's happened with Coulson and Bucky. I bet the Red Skull comes back as well.

Bucky and Skull "died" off screen, so that's easy enough to explain away. Coulson was different.

I don't understand why you think bringing people back from the dead is inevitable. It's hardly ever a good thing to do. Why do it if you don't have to?

Stop asking me obvious and rhetorical questions. Read a comic book or something and find out why. It's clear and obvious and the reason they brought back Coulson.

As for Bucky and Red Skull dying "off-screen", yeah right, that still counts as having them die in the movie. We saw Bucky fall off a freaking 40 story high train and Red Skull get "incinerated" as far as context of the movie goes. Furthermore, we didn't actually see Coulson's body after his supposed death either not to mention Maria Hill clearly suggested that Fury lied about one thing.

Crimson the same argument could be used for Coulson. It was Fury that said he had died, who's to say he wasn't lying about that just like he was about the cards?
