Maybe people want more representation of the male chromosome minority group. Did you know that only about one in four of all sex chromosomes is a male Y-chromosome?

I dunno. I thought Buffy and Angel did superheroes pretty well. Maybe this show can too.

My original issue with the diversity was the lack of darker skinned people. Having Ming-Na doesn't really seem diverse unless you think of diversity as having a token minority. I think by time you have two it comes off more like 'this really isn't about white people' rather than 'we just want something to point to say it's not about white people.'

It bothers me less now, knowing that Richards (Cage?) has a recurring role, and they cast someone who is partly Chinese in one of the "white" roles. But the idea that "Oh, there's an Asian, see, what's the problem?" Was cool in the 90s, but I'd think/hope we're a bit beyond that kind of checkbox diversity at this point.

The first two shots anyone sees of this may be Luke Cage and perfect cleavage? Now THAT is how you start a PR campaign!

I hope this is good! Would be a damn cool addition to the MCU.

I dig those 6 seconds, so that's a start.

I assume this will get it's own board soon?

I assume they are going to do some real work on explaining how the entirely dead main character is completely alive in this show?

Likewise, I wish we were at a point where the absence of non-<insert random race of choice> actors/characters doesn't immediately cause people to rant "racist!" and instead simply conclude that all the best actors who auditioned just happened to be of that particular race.

If you ask me, picking/opting for someone specifically for their race (when it has nothing to do with their character's background/backstory; e.g. an actual historical figure, a national of X country, etc) is just as racist as not picking someone for their race.

Was more referring to the Heroes and Smallvilles and NoOrdinaryFam and the various others...that were trending recently.

I'd put Whedons other work in a different genre. The Vamp Diaries genre.(man I hate that show...but I can't stop watching).

Agreed so tired of people complaining about color. I just chalk it up to people will always find a way to complain about everything.
