I'm almost certain there will be a tank in the GTA V. I really think they're throwing everything in this time around. I mean, they have a mini submarine!

I'm really looking forward to the under water portions of this game.

Yeah, can't wait to see what neat little secrets Rockstar have hidden under the ocean. Remember in San Andreas, the guy with concrete shoes?

I'm already certain I'll be spending most of my time in the air by jet and underwater in the mini submarine in free-roam,Especially online!!

All those douche bags being a buzzkill by land or planes with missiles!?..No thanx and so I'll be minding my business or taking out people(in self defense)by flying around the whole map or diving into the ocean to get a sub to chill,Underwater will come in very handy against those hackers that use the thing that burns you up& kills you since in GTA IV you'd be safe IF your touching water.!

Do you play on Xbox, or Playstation? If it's Xbox, we could be homies.

I also only attack other players if they attack me first. Generally I'll kill them once, then carry on with my business unless I'm attacked again.

Lately I've mostly been grabbing a helicopter and just flying around minding my own business. Sometimes I follow other players from the air to see what they're up to. I'm hoping GTA V has a small plane, like the bi-plane in San Andreas (I think there might have been a screenshot?) which I can imagine spending a lot of time in.

I had GTA IV for 360 But traded in my 360 and kept my PS3,I admit I was an ******* on Ballad of Gay Tony sometimes as I'd get a bunch of sticky bombs and drive up to people's vehicles and throw some at them..Then blew them up lol But was randomly and not specific people nor over&over!

I also sometimes would get a chopper and follow people just cause I was curious what they were doing,I'd use the chopper with missiles in Ballad But only as self defense since there were many jerks randomly keep coming after me with their choppers!

There is a small plane in GTA V..

Yeah it's indeed awesome,I prefer a military jet cause they are WAY faster/bigger& cooler..But will be using this small plane to fly around the country side&mountains

When it comes to deciding to go by sea or air I'll be like..

I definitely wouldn't it put it past Rockstar to include that variant in the game!

Grand Theft Auto has always been sandboxy.

I was being sarcastic (in a good natured way!) but Grand Theft Auto 1 was free roam/sandbox too.

Looks like we'll be getting that look at the cover real soon.

I wish I knew what part of NYC that's in because I would love to stop by and see it for myself.

In other (slightly old) news, Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories will be hitting the PSN this Tuesday.

Quote:
Grand Theft Auto ‘Stories’ Games PS3-Bound
Relive some of PSP’s best games.

With all three core Grand Theft Auto games from the PlayStation 2 era already available on PlayStation Network, it’s no surprise that Rockstar has revealed that the PSP-turned-PS2 Grand Theft Auto spin-off games will also be coming.

Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories (released on PSP in 2005 and PS2 in 2006) and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories (released on PSP in 2006 and PS2 in 2007) will come to the PlayStation Network as PS2 Classics this Tuesday, April 2nd in North America and on Wednesday, April 3rd in Europe. They will cost $9.99 (or €9.99/£7.99) each.

Both Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories were major commercial successes for Rockstar, and they did pretty well critically, too. They acted as a nice stopgap for Grand Theft Auto fans waiting for GTAIV following the release of San Andreas, so perhaps Rockstar is trying the same thing as we wait for Grand Theft Auto V’s release this fall.

LCS was my first GTA game on the PSP, so I think I would definitely want to relive this again on a big screen with my PS3.

I doubt we'll ever see an HD treatment of the GTA games, mostly because of the size and scope of the games. I could be wrong, but I don't think there ha been an HD re-release of an open world sandbox game.

But I really hope we see a game in Vice City after this. I know a modern day game set in Miami wouldn't be as captivating as the original, but with the more grounded, realistic tone that they've gone with, it would be interesting to see if they could do something with that culture, perhaps by expanding on the night club scene that they established in Gay Tony.

I do like period pieces.

Not sure how others feel.

I really didn't even notice it in San Andreas, because the 90's weren't really that different from the early 2000's. Probably notice it more now, ten years later.

I know it's way too early to be thinking about this, but I too wonder where GTA VI will be set. It's unlikely they'll go back to Liberty again, and they obviously won't do Los Santos. GTA VI will be on the next-gen systems too, which makes me think the sheer size and scope of it will be beyond anything we've previously seen.

My hope is that we'll see some foreign cities. Maybe one American, a return to London perhaps, and the Rockstar version of Tokyo. Not sure how feasible it is, but given everything the company has already achieved you can definitely expect them to push boundaries and raise the bar yet again.

You know, that could also be a really neat way to go about it. Maybe have one location, but different time periods. Maybe follow a family over the course of three generations, something like that.

Now that is a creative idea. Very ambitious.
