If anything, just from a story perspective, what more could a writer do with the Kents, let alone Jonathan Kent in sequels that would be new and interesting for the Actor?

maybe...since it is a bit of a manip....

In the official photo his hand is open, in the manip it's a fist and the ground/background is different. So I say go for it....
