Still way below Par.Especially when compared to TASM

Only TDK had decent action in the Dark Knight trilogy

The Sewer fight is the best in the series.

Compared to the high school fight, I'd agree that BB didn't have anything to rival that scene. Any other action scene in TAS-M? They were below par to even be in a Spider-Man film from what Raimi has given us. Give me BB.

Yah...I don't buy this at all. Both Bane fights had the best action in the entire trilogy. Compared to any of the action scenes, TDK is only the best when it comes to chase sequences(the Joker/Dent chase with the Tumbler/Bat-pod).

The fights in TASM were better than the ones in BB and TDK combined IMO. I didn't really care for the fight sequences in TDKR either, but I have to re-watch it. The first fight was decent, the second... meh.

And I don' think that that shaky cam in BB wasn't very effective either, but whatever.

When I look at this new franchise, and consider Marc Webb's tweet that says "Think Bigger," one quote comes to mind.

BIG THINGS HAVE SMALL BEGINNINGS.

By action I mean everything(Not just the chase sequences)
We all knew that Joker wont stand a chance against Batman in a one on one battle and Nolan did exceedingly well in bringing action through different ways(Chase,The scenes in Hong kong etc)

Nolan had a great opportunity in TDKR and he failed imo,I dont see what was so epic in any one the Bane fights, they were average

Somehow this board has a penchant for going into Batman. Not sure what to think about that....

As opposed to the hardcore average action in TASM, even when compared to Raimi's movies?

There are a few ways to evaluate a fight scene. You can just do it by how cool and fast the moves are. But there's also emotion, grit, brutality, cinematography, how visceral it is, etc. I'm a fan of Spider-Man and Goblin's final fight in SM1 myself.

Just like the two Bane fights, the Train Scene, and the Batpod chase.

Totally disagree with this. If all the fights were on a high level as the high school fight, then I MIGHT agree(just might).

Indeed whatever, because it certainly was effective to at least fans of the film, lol.

So it goes from copying Batman Begins to Prometheus now?

Before the sewer fight in TDKR, the Bat-pod chase increased the level of action that should be in a CBM that actually fits with the psychology of the villain as well, imo.

Nah.

You got quick scenes and one very sloppy and slow scene(OsCorp Tower) and only one actually great action scene(the high school).

Correct.

Disagree. He certainly achieved and surpassed with giving us great fights against a physical opponent.
