I just hope people realize he's played more minutes this season than ANYBODY in the whole league. Not to mention he already has more miles on his body than anybody in the league to begin with. Comparing him to younger guys doesn't even make sense. Until I see them doing this at almost 35, with the same amount of mileage, there's nothing to discuss.

Yeah he's been a source of extra motivation for them two for a while now. I just love they're both competitive enough to even care what he has to say.

Eh, still a jock. Take 1000 shots and hit 500, still a ballhog to me. If he does that the next 5 games I will stfu, but its not going to happen.

Considering he's regularly getting 6+ assists per night I wouldn't really call him a ballhog. He's also getting a lot of foul calls.

Amare is out for 6 weeks. It's official, this dude is done. His knees are just straight up jelly.

What?? Wow, the Knicks are done. No one on that team besides Chandler can stay healthy and consistant for more than a month.
Well, good thing Amare got that $100 million contract before all these knee problems started. He can live out the rest of his life comfortably off of that. |

I actually think they're gonna be okay. This simplifies things for them a bit, they played well when he was out at the beginning of the year, if they can get some frontcourt help (either the vets get healthy or maybe signing somebody) they'll be fine.

I think it helps. Start Kenyan Martin, Camby is back now. Plus Amare should be back around playoff time but man he really should redo his contract after this season.

It is a shame though, I was really impressed with what I saw from him during his first few weeks back.

Is that possible? and why would he do that, out of the goodness of his heart? Sports are a business, you sign me to a giant contract its not my obligation to restructure it because you don't like it after 3 years.

After 3 years yes you can. He should take less money but get more years because after this contract he's done. The Knicks tend to reward player loyalty.

Even for players like Luc Longley who never played a game for them...

I thought teams could use the rule once a year until 2015? Maybe I misunderstood it.

I think they'll be OK without him. At the start of the year they were 21-9 without him or something like that. I don't know what the hell they're gonna do with that contract for the next 2yrs. It's gonna hold them back from making other moves. I was thinking perhaps they can buy his contract out but I'm pretty sure that still counts against their cap number.

Lakers minutes away from being in the 8th seed. They've come so far in the past two months.

I'll be the first to admit I had my doubts but didn't I say all along to wait for the games that count when it comes to the Heat? I hope they can keep rolling into the playoffs like this.

I wouldn't be surprised if they just said **** the rest of the season, they made their point. Something tells me the streak will end with the game against Atlanta at home or against Milwaukee away...I'm predicting a 14-7 record for their final 21 games for a 61-21 record overall.
