I thought it was pretty cool! I'm stoked for the real trailer, which will come out in forever.

I just saw Oz, the Great and Powerful, which demonstrates how you can do flying in a movie really well. It was perfect! It made Storm's X3 flying look even worse. I hope we get effects similar Oz for any flying characters that may be in DoFP.

I'd be very surprised if it was just two. In X2 at least there's a reason for the depleted numbers because of what happened in X1.

Maybe they just figure that if the henchmen like Azazel are disposable they'd rather introduce some new characters with new powers? Or something.

Maybe now that Jennifer has the Oscar, Fox will make young Mystique to have the power of all the villains of First Class, and thats why they arent coming back

Luckily (and Sadly) I think they already played that hand in Origins with Deadpool haha.

Ya never know haha, but yeah unlikely. I just dig the effects and action. It's really made for some of the better action. Shame to lose it.

I know this was meant as a joke but I'm pretty sure it's been established in the films (it certainly has been in the comics) that Mystique can't mimic powers. Although you got to wonder which "body part" that was of Mystique's that morphed into Wolverine's claws during their Statue of Liberty brawl, and consequently got sliced off...

Well, she also created Stryker's glasses in X2 (when in Wolverine's tent), so she can clearly do some amazing things with those scales.

I'm more curious as to what happened to the phone that 'Gyrich' put in his pocket on the helicopter in X1, before turning into Mystique... lol

But we're talking more about actual mutant abilities of the mutants she's morphing into. The films have not shown her to be capable of emulating Storm's powers when Wolverine stabbed her in the SOL for instance.

One thing I don't get is how Mystique can transform into animals. I've been watching X-Men Evolution cartoon series and I've been wondering about that...lol.

Comic book Mystique can not change her overall body mass when taking on the appearance of a person larger or smaller.

Yes indeed.

She can't transform into animals, and nor does she take on the powers of the mutants (or any other superhumans) she imitates.

The films already stretched it a bit by having her imitate an entire stone statue in X1 and turn into a little girl in X3.
