Mathew Vaughn, Big Daddy and Hit Girl were basically just ultra violent versions of Batman and Robin, take out the killing and you have great Batman and Robin moments, also the film proved how it is possible to have Robin in film and it not be lame

I'd be okay with Matthew Vaughan directing anything. Kick-Ass and X-Men: First Class are two of my absolute favorite superhero movies.

So... 2051 for the next Batman solo movie.

excellent suggestion!

i think Vaughn would do an incredible job with Batman and can continue with the character whichever way Snyder introduces him in MOS2

he also has a similar style to Snyder when it comes to comic adaptions

I'd be on board with Vaughn taking the reins on a solo Batman-centered follow-up to MoS 2.

I wouldn't. He's a little too playful and I don't like a lot of his casting choices.

i want to see some more fantasy elements introduced that way we can possibly see villains like Killer Croc, Man-Bat, Mr. Freeze, etc.

the beauty of this new franchise being connected with Man Of Steel is that it opens up the possibilities for that to happen

Alfonso Cuaṛn seems like a realistic choice, I would also love to see Terry Gilliam do it though.

I'd love to see that they build up the Batman films like the James Bond Series. Different directors, different actors after several movies but still one universe. No need for another trilogy (why has it always to be a trilogy?), no need for another reboot. James Bond had one reboot over decades. Why not Batman? They can change his portayal, of course (Roger Moore's Bond is different to Sean Connery's Bond as well), but I'm tired of the usual "Let's make a trilogy and then reboot the whole stuff".

I wouldn't say Nolan had a massive influence on Mendes, they're just both very similar directors, who make cerebral dramas. If anything, I'm not sure why people are still clamouring for a "Nolan Bond" when that is pretty much what we got with "Mendes' Bond".

As much as I'd love Mendes in the chair, I think it's the same situation as above with Batman.

Mendes has admitted Nolan's influence and Dark Knight's influence on Skyfall. I love the guy but I don't think he's right for the job. I feel we'll end up seeing another Nolan style batman. This is a reinvention, it needs to be very different.

If not him then del Toro for me, it would be similar to Burton's version though.

True. There is a possibility Afleck could pull double duty as director/actor.

Considering Affleck likes to direct himself, it's now more than a slight possibility.

Unless the movie (B vs. S) turns out to be a big failure, then the odds go down again.

I wouldn't mind that at all.

I'll go with Frank Darabont with Vince Gilligan writing.

For me its all about getting that balance between Bruce Wayne and Batman right. The cool factor for both has to be 50/ 50 and that's what made me love the Nolan movies so much.

I also think that between Darabont and Gilligan, we'll give that respect for the source material while maybe making a few changes to update such and old, iconic character.

One thing that the WB has to get through their heads is that when you're dealing with a character like this... FORGET THE TRILOGY and think bigger. I hate that every iconic character now is thought as a 3 movie set up. Make your James Bond not your Star Wars.
