I also like Matchstick Men starring Cage and Rockwell. That's one his best films along with Kingdom.

Someone said Rian Johnson earlier, I think he could be terrific directing. He can do noir like no one else.

Stylized, but real, like Synder's MOS. Something that Muschietti or Del Toro would do. But looking at Looper, Johnson has potential.

Definitely should check it out, you can see why he's great doing noir. Also, having him do Looper afterwards should be more than enough to tackle a big project like Batman.

I know it's not the most popular choice but I watched Argo this morning and loved it. I think affleck keeps getting better and does action suspense really well.

He does suspense extremely well.
But has he even done an action scene? |

Rian Johnson sounds like he doesn't want a franchise I would much rather see Nicholas Winding Refn do the next Batman than Wonder Woman Last edited by SlamAdams; 02-25-2013 at 11:10 AM. |

Guy Ritchie, brad bird for a more retro pulp take, Guillermo del toro, either one of these choices would give me a massive nerd boner.

I think his direction lacks a definitive style. Not a fan.

My personal choice is Joe Wright but I also like Nicolas Winding Refn, Neil Marshall, Rian Johnson and Duncan Jones. Sam Mendes would be great too, but I think his take would be too similar to Nolan's. Older directors? Ridley Scott and Michael Mann would be ideal.

No more reboots thank you. Christopher Nolan made a super realistic Batman. No questions asked. No other director can pull that better. Nolan had a good perspective for the Batman Trilogy

I'm sorry I think I might have just threw up blood into my mouth. Anyway, for I'd like Guillermo del toro or guy Ritchie for more obvious choices, but my wild card would be jean Pierre junet.
