Do we really need one though? I mean this isn't Batman & Robin where they are trying to sell toys.

interesting that the Tumbler is back. Didn't Fox mention that there were supposed to be 2 Tumblers to be used in the military to create the bridge?

Perhaps this is the back-up Tumbler. Or else Bruce had it rebuilt.

I was kind of hoping for a sleeker, redesigned Batmobile...........but maybe there's still a chance.

either way........the Tumbler is still bad ass!

you don't really need a new batman movie, so I don't understand your point.

Doesn't matter. They still need to sell toys.

You don't understand that Nolan wants to make a movie to tell a great story instead of making a movie to sell toys like Batman and Robin did?

They're always trying to sell toys. It is a merchandising monster for Time Warner.

Right, but that isn't the main agenda for this upcoming film like it was for Batman and Robin. Just like it wasn't the main agenda for Batman Begins or The Dark Knight. Just because something has "Batman" slapped on it, doesn't mean it will be a good film. Warner Bros. learned their lesson after that bomb.

It might not be Nolan's main agenda, but I guarantee you that is the main agenda for the corporate big wigs.

Like I implied, I doubt Warner Bros. takes that angle again, unless they want another laughing stock bomb on their hands. Batman Begins proved that if you actually have a good movie, the toys will sell themselves.

It's like having a good football team. The team winning games will sell seats just as well than the newly drafted rookie quarterback that might be terrible in the long run anyways. Warner Bros. was looking for the "get rich quick" scheme and it backfired with Batman and Robin came out. That movie made back it's revenue, but when you compare it something like Begins which barely had a bigger budget and has made a lot more money while being out a lot less longer, it makes sense.

I gotta say I am more than fine if the batmobile doesnt change. I mean think about it. Why would Batman need to scrap an awesome vehicle and start from scratch. He has the cash and resources. I say good call Nolan. Good call.

No, he said "during combat, two of these would jump towing cables".

I don't recall him saying that Wayne Enterprises actually had TWO of them.
