Image of Batman, just seeing the behind of him, kneeling between 2 Gargoyles statues ontop of a high gothic building, peering over the city of Gotham...
The title - The Batman

Simple, perfect and exactly what the title should be for the first movie. Leave the nicknames, the "Arkham..." for the sequels. Unless of course we get a pure story from the get-go of Bats locked in Arkham Asylum for nearly the entire film. Then fine, why not have Arkham in the title. But i agree with "The Batman".

Nah, as much as I like a simple title, it'll be like the Final Destination thing if they go with "The Batman." We already got two batman movies with just "Batman" on the title.

Yeah, but we've got the unsettling ¨The¨ in the front Batman lol
I think it could work, at least for 1 movie title. I wouldn't want The Batman 2 as the sequel.

First film: The Bat (villains are all gangsters and mob bosses)
Second film: Bat-boob (villain is the Joker) Third film: Bats (villain is Two-Face) Fourth film: The Strange Secret of Bruce Wayne (villain is Hugo Strange) Fifth film: Batman? (you have to say it like a question, villain is Riddler)

I like Kane's idea The Caped Crusader. Honestly I think it would go well with a lighter toned more fantastical Batman movie, which would be a lot of fun... so long as it is well written, not the Schumacher style stuff.

That's my pick. It's an obvious way to distinguish it from all the other films.

I'm going to go with just "Batman." No need to complicate it. We don't have to come up with some catchy title for every movie. This will be a reboot, so why not reboot it right with the most straight forward name? I still have no idea why they called the new Superman "Man of Steel." Should have just gone with "Superman."

I think its been long enough that they could just call it Batman.
Heck I thought Man of Steel should have been called Superman. It's been over twenty five years, for goodness' sakes. |

There's already "Batman", you can't use that. You can't do these things because it confuses audiences when they buy or rent these films, or order them. Also the comparisons and "remake" discussions will pop up no matter what.
The Batman is fine but come to think of it, it may be too close. The Caped Crusader is inevitable. We will get that title sooner or later. Hopefully the next series is based on the Arkham games so they can be called "Arkham Asylum" or "Batman: Arkham Asylum". |

I think the only good nickname for Batman is The Dark Knight. The caped crusader and the dynamic duo are goofy names.

If we're talking Nolanverse (Robin Blake)
Batman: Beyond the Black Mask. a nod to Batman Beyond, and the "Black Mask" referring to both the villain and Batman himself. Last edited by FeedOnATreeFrog; 03-08-2013 at 11:58 PM. |
