But we do.

We know the following.

El Mayimbe said Cranston and Mark Strong were being considered for Lex.
Then, he said Cranston was being looked at for Gordon and the Lex reports were wrong. Why he removed those tweets, I don't know.
By that time, a ********ting site, by the initials of CBN, ran a ridiculous story that 57 year old Cranston, had signed on as Lex, in films that would surely take him through to his 80's.
A top magazine, Rolling Stone, ran with the ridiculous claim.
Everything was set ablaze.
El Mayimbe called the guys at CBN, "pathetic liars".
Then when everybody stopped to catch their breath, they knew the story was crap.
Even Cranston himself said it was, but he did say he liked the Lex character. Why? Because all this attention, was all the better for BB's publicity.
WB weren't going to deny it, because it brought attention to them.
It was announced that he would be revealed as Lex when BB ended...still waiting for that.

And things ended by CBN announcing the unfortunate news that Cranston had dropped out of the Lex role.

Cranston is very much, the least likeliest.

I'm aware of all this, the only fact is that Cranston is interested in the role. And he's one of the best actors of all time. I still think he has a good chance, I don't think anything you've said proves otherwise

But WB have already approached him for Gordon, if El Mayimbe is to be believed.

The Lex thing was started by El's misinformation.

It seems unlikely Cranston was ever connected with that role. The only way it was, was by bad reporting.
And by that time, WB wanted him for Gordon.

I doubt Cranston just jumped on to another character there and then. Lex was only mentioned to him through rumours.

I don't believe everything ElMay says. He didn't even post that as a scoop it was just a tweet

Kurt Russell is a great suggestion. Also I'd like to see John C. Reilly in the role.

At this point in his career i wouldnt be able to take him seriously. He's also way too young. Gordon needs to be early 60s for this version, not a few years older than Batman.

And I say comedians can make great dramatic actors (This pic is from Magnolia where he was really serious and really good too), and he really has no age anymore. I could see him becoming like a Gene Hackman type who can navigate with ease between genres. Anyway just my opinion, still trying to throw some different ideas out there, to each their own etc.

Just to go outside the box, but I think Victor Garber would make an interesting Gordon.
