I buy all the live-action movies based on the characters of DC/Marvel. I don't care if they suck or not. Its part of my movie collection.

I mean I could have bought it just for Jean/Famke alone but...I thought, with the way they didn't do justice to the Phoenix storyline, I had second thoughts about buying the movie. oh well...

I usually do the same... although I did pass on Green Lantern and Superman Returns.

Loads of people bought Xmen 3 on dvd. It made 100 mil in dvd sales, not bad for a movie that gets so much hate.

How did you find them? That board was decommissioned years ago. Send me the link; I'd love to go back in time and visit that graveyard.

Oh, sorry. It was 2006 threads about the film. That was bad enough. I can only imagine what it was like in 2004.

This was particularly fun.

Just saw the comments on my earlier post and I have some things to clear.

1. I am a guy.
2. I called her a b***h nothing wrong with that I do not know her no, but still does not mean I have to like her.
3. This is a message board so I can give my opinion my language is not bad I use *** or do you all want me to say I think she is a beeping beep ?? I mean really get over it.
4. I hate Halle not Storm
5. I love Storm is in the movie again but I was hoping for a nicer teenage Storm or a recast for a though Storm.

THANKS !

Hi there,

Responses to your responses:

1. Congratulations.
2. You don't have to like her. But you can be a big boy and use appropriate language when voicing your displeasure. It's not that difficult.
3. Yes, this is a message board, and it's one with rules. Those rules include refraining from insults and using foul language. My name is in red, so that means that I have to enforce those rules. I also happen to be a woman (one of many on this forum), and let's just say you're not off to a good start with your choice of words so far.
4. Yes, we assumed that. Still doesn't excuse your choice of language.
5. And see how you said that without the language? Keep doing that.

You're welcome.

Question about Storm and her abilities in a good old fashion brawl.... I know in the 90s cartoon Storm fought Calisto without the use of her powers and kicked her butt and of course she beat up Cyclops in the comics. I was just wondering if anyone can picture Halle's Storm in hand to hand combat where she's showcasing just how good at hand-to-hand combat she really is. And im also trying to imagine if thats something i could even picture in movie form.

Would her fight scenes look like Blackwidows did in the Avengers or more like 80's style Charlie's Angels?

I can imagine halle beating some butt. I think it would look more like a mix of BW/CA since she isnt trained like bw but isnt as untrained as the original CA were in hand to hand combat.

I could see it too. Halle's X3 Storm seemed feisty. I wouldn't want to see it though. She should use all her cool powers instead of just a hand-to-hand fight. Though a combination would be very cool.

Storm kind of had a combination in a deleted scene in X-Men 3.

The fight at jean grey's house. Storm fights back against Calisto using lightning punches. Kind of.

Ya know, say what you will about Catwoman, but that film did demonstrate what Halle Berry can do in stylized physical combat. She did her own stunts.

She did? I distinctly remember the big hoopla about how it was a dude under that CatWOMAN costume while "she" is in fight scenes.

Nope. Aside from the CGI, it was all Halle. She actually did these moves with the training of a coach. I forget the style of fighting it was, something like caperoia or...whatever. I can't help but roll my eyes at the cheesiness of it, but at least it tells you something about what Storm could do...

Judging her fight in X1, nope. Though she doesn't need to fight w/o using her powers.

It was not all Halle Berry, it was some dude named Nito Larioza doing her stunts.

LOL why did you link to that youtube video? Most of that stuff was obviously CG (badly executed, at that) and didn't really prove (one way or another) that Halle was the one doing the stunts?

Thanks! That's what I figured too but I didn't know what his name was. A quick google search yielded this:

Quote:
The stunning actress appears in the film wearing a skin-tight silicone suit, but for many of the action sequences fans will actually be watching Hawaiian stuntman Nito Larioza.

and

...Despite only shooting a handful of action sequences...
