They'd have to be very careful with a Mohawk look on Halle. To me, it gives Storm a certain...shall I say, equestrian look? LOL

She looks like My Little Pony here.

they should get wolverine and storm together, it would not only get rid of the love triange in some way or another but also give halle berry more to do

I don't see why not, Storm and Logan had a relationship at some point in the comics and in the animated series, and not only would it stop the stupid love triangle but as said before it would give Storm and Halle Berry something to do instead of standing in the background looking pretty,(and having the whole internet hate you for doing that)

The love triangle ended, when Cyclops died, and Halle Berry stopped standing in the background of the X-Men movies 10 years ago.

she may not have stood in the background per se but she didn't do anything any either, apart from look pretty and do her crazy wire fu.

A lot of Halle's acting work as Storm was silent and SFX-driven. But it was effective though. For example, I actually liked the way Bryan had Halle rolling her head around when she was manipulating the weather. It was kinda creepy.

No, I mean X2. I would never describe Storm's role in X2 as that of a background character, as though she just stands there, looking pretty. She is in too many scenes, interacting with too many people and doing too much, to be given that designation. Want proof? Go watch X-Men and then The Last Stand. That's an abrupt transition, and it doesn't come from Storm doing nothing in X2.

I actually never thought that Storm was wallpaper in any of the films. But she was never the prime figure as she is in the comics. I agree with you; X2 and X3 did the most to move her in that direction, but it had to come at the expense of Scott and even that was marginal because Logan took up everything else.

If you watched the original and TLS back to back, I'd imagine just about everything coming as an abrupt transition.

I thought the best interpretation of Storm was also in X2. Her best scene I thought was with Nightcrawler in the X-Jet. The camera angles in that scene were excellent and Jean talking out to Storm "Storm I've found an active com device" (sorry if I butchered that line!) and Storm shouting out "Where?" but still locking eyes with Nightcrawler was superbly acted.

I'm hoping for more of that from Halle.

I don't know about great, but X2 Storm is the best Storm so far in the movies!

I disagree. Her roles in all the X-men films were supporting roles, but at least in X3 they gave her a bit more time to shine. She barely had anything to do in X2, just little bits they had to shoehorn into the script to give Storm some reason for being there. The Nightcrawler/Storm scene had to be re-written for her because she had so little to do.

I wish Halle had taken some of the negative reception to Storm in X1 and just completely reworked her performance (with Bryan's guidance as the director of course) and just gone for a really tough Storm and not the meek Storm of X1. I just can't understand the choices Halle made...why was Storm, of all characters, so MOUSY? It still doesn't make sense to me. They should have made her the school Librarian with that performance.

Those little bits in X2 were miles better than the garbage served up in X3. Now, those were shoehorned in.

At least in X2, particularly in the Nightcrawler scene, I felt I learnt something about Storm - the real her. She may have had more material in X3 but did I feel we got any real insight? No. Why was she so against the cure? Where did those feelings come from? How did she deal with assuming leadership of the X-Men? And don't start me on that scene with her and Professor X near the start...

And the lifeless eulogy!

What do you mean the choices Halle made? She didn't write the character in X2 she was contractually obliged to return so it isn't like she had any leverage and could play the character any how she wanted.

HB played the character the way Storm was written and there were NO scenes in X2 where halle could have played Storm as tough. It just wasn't there, there's only so much an actor can do.

I do however agree with you in that Storm had little to do in X2 and was a farcry away from her comic book counterpart but for X2, I don't think that is in anyway berry's fault.

I also agree with you that Storm was such a pointless character in X3 that was given a lot of screen time for nothing as we did not learn a thing about her. But those cool action scenes that Halle delivers with Storm's trademark fierceness does redeem the character a little bit.

Agree. It annoyed me that she didn't get a decent fight with Callisto and I thought Ratner's direction was very amateur, to be honest.

And exactly. She got the most screentime of the series so far in that film, but for what? We discovered nothing new and worse, she wasn't even that consistent with the first two films.

Yep, Ratner really wasted a huge opportunity for the coolest fight ever. After all the build up Storm's final fight with Callisto was so anti-climactic. I remember watching it for the first time and thinking 'that's it?' I was expecting so much more. Calisto was the first opponent Storm faced in the series that Storm could have am epic fight with. You could have had storm lashing out whilst Calisto dodged her attacks it really could have been amazing. It's quite sad when you think about it.

Berry never had much to work with, but she still could have done a lot better acting wise.

Indeed. Not only because it would have been a fantastic nod to the comics, but more than that, they set up the rivalry throughout the film (albeit half-assed) and then they gave us that terrible anti-climax of a fight.

But Lord knows they found time for Vinnie Jones and his terrible one-liners.
