Out of these two, I only want Cyclops to be back. Jean Grey was dead in the comics for like 10 years and as long as X-Men team has 5 to 8 known X-Members, its okay not to include Jean Grey. I wouldn't mind if they mention her name and give her some special scenes like remembering her memory, flashbacks or including her presence in hallucination scenes. But as far as giving her a big role like in X2/X3, I don't want to see her anytime soon. Maybe if this series is ending soon and I would want her to comeback but right now, it doesn't look like this series is ending soon. I want FOX to focus on new characters and develop underdeveloped characters.

id really like to think if jean and cyclops returned wolverine would take a step back rather then trying to get with jean again as there is only so far it can go before it seems like favoritism for wolverine and can become a quite uncomfortable love triangle

I'm really expecting her and Scott to be introduced at the end of DOFP in the First Class timeline as kids.

Oh good. Jean can show up to make out with Wolverine in a dream . Can we just put Wolverine's creepy obsession with her to rest.

This is just Fox's way to get more x-men fans to the theatre to watch this second Wolverine movie.

As it happened with the first one. is not that surprising

Yeah at this point, it seems rather hopeless. I don't know if there is even a permutation out there to bring the two back in some substantial, non-cameo role. I can see something at the end of DoFP though, as cameos of course.

I think FC3, if that happens, needs to feature Jean as the young girl we saw in X-3. I think that would be the best storyline to go with and essentially retcon the OT while keeping the existing continuity in some parallel time frame. I wouldn't make it just about Magneto vs Xavier. Maybe add Sinister as a wild card, but don't kill him off.

but that little girl seemed to be in the 80s wasn't she? I don't really care if they ignore that though.

They really just need to bring back the adult Jean though. She is the leading lady of the movie series!

Exactly where the sequel to DoFP should be IMO. We can fill the gaps in between with other things, maybe some spinoff movies with Gambit and Mystique. McAvoy will need to shave it off or look convincing. They need to age the two about 15 years or so.

There could even be some amazing neuronal regenerative breakthrough that temporarily cures Xavier's paralysis, before his butt comes crashing down on the wheels again after the treatment fails long term. I really thought the beginning of X-3 set things up perfectly, just in terms of Beasts introduction, to the young Jean Grey. It was the after effects that lead to its undoing.

Oh, Jesus Christ.

More Jean/Logan shipping....you'd almost forget that Jean/Scott is supposed to be the standard pairing...

Isn't it a bit desperate to spoil the big cameo in the PRE-teaser to the first teaser? They really want the fans to know Famke/Jean is in this.

In my dream world, they've done it this way because Singer is about to announce Famke's addition to the DOFP cast so they're tying into that announcement.

So now, in a film that takes place right after Logan had to kill the woman he loves, he is not allowed to dream about her?

Not really. She's not a "big cameo". He's in a state right now where Jean is on his mind because.. y'know, he loved her and he just killed her. And I'm sorry, I love Jean and Famke but she is not a "draw".

I wouldn't call it love either. But he clearly declares his love for her in X3. I'd like to think that a 100+ year old man knows a thing or two about his heart.
