There is an attraction between Jean/Wolverine in all the movies, but I interpret that as influence from the Phoenix "personality". Once the mental blocks in Jean's mind fall, the Phoenix is able to do away with Scott and go after Wolverine fully. So, Jean always loved Scott and it's just the Phoenix personality that lusted after Wolverine.

With Jean Grey having a cameo in The Wolverine (now that is 100% confirmed), I'm now hoping that she doesn't have a cameo in DOFP too. Because thats gonna be 2 cameos in back to back films and in my opinion, they need to give her a rest.
I hope she has a real role in DOFP (but I suspect many of the returning mutants will have nothing more than glorified cameos anyway). Failing that, I would be happy with a Jean & Cyclops cameo at the end in a "disaster averted" ending.

Jean has a huge legacy and is important to a lot of characters. It makes sense she'd make appearances to remind the audience of this.

I actually really like this. Or, at least, it doesn't make me want to gouge my eyeballs out in frustration.

Thats the way I see it...Its the phoenix who is lusting after Logan, not Jean...if only they made it clear on that...aspect...clearly, they didn`t expand on it enough.

Yeah it was pretty much stacked in Wolverine's favour.

I interpreted it as influence from Wolverine being played by Hugh Jackman, personally. I can't really see the need for other reasons to explain the attraction

Plus is it so unrealistic to think that people in relationships might still feel attracted to somebody else?

I disagree.Famke is the most important character in x-men movies. And the woman who best interprets.
She's a diva and the film would lose much appeal. There are thousands of ways to bring it back.

Now is the time!Famke Janssen must be on X-Men Days of future past!!And it will be, I'm sure.

As much as I want her to be in DOFP, hoping too much is a pain in the ass and I hate to be the one who gets let down because of that hope.

its easier to say yeah they will be brought back at the end of DOFP but its a matter of how can it be done so its not forced or silly, i mean we don't actually know how this movie will end, singer may may change alot by the end or he may change very little

its also a matter of how to make the return of them 2 characters matter to the audience, unless they are thrown in at the end and its done in a way thats not made a big deal of

cyclops is hardly a character audiences will cheer to see again, while jean...
will get more of a reaction but still

it does sound like singer understands the need to bring them back so who knows

To me, I would rather want Singer and company to save Jean and Cyke at the start of the next movie. Of course it would excite a lot of people if they see Jean/Cyke alive at the end of DOFP, but imagine how the next movie would start? Its probably just back to normal and there wouldn't be a big mystery.

But if they come up with a different story for their return, rather resurrecting them because they changed some things in the past period, their return would have more mystery/questions and they could be the focus of the next film.

So if I were them, I wouldn't rush bringing back Jean and Cyke.

If she wants to play future "old" Emma Frost in DAYS OF FUTURE PAST, fine. She's not good enough to really justify changing the character that much.
i think she was a great emma would every1 quit h8ing

Gut tells me Singer has em' back for a cameo. It may not feature those actors though, but younger versions, albeit something more substantial than a Cerebro vision we got in FC. I think it could also feature older versions. Jean Grey has multiple references in the Wolverine trailer alone. I think they could appear at the end.

jackman about jean

Quote:
"There's no doubt that the most important relationship in his life is we've seen through the movies is his relationship with Jean Grey. Yes, we saw her die at the end of 'X-Men: The Last Stand,' but in this movie, she has a presence, which I think is vital to the movie, particularly for him confronting the most difficult thing within himself."
this kinda worries me

doesn't stand well with me for if jean and cyclops do return

Ugh..WHAT relationship? It was all flirting, and Jean even said she loves Scott.. it was pretty much settled by the end of X2.. I blame X3 or reviving whatever it is they wanted between Jean and Logan, but it was not love..

From his part, it was. And this is Wolverine's movie, so it makes sense.

Where on earth does Mariko figure in the The Wolverine story if Wolverine is still in lust with Jean?

pretty obvious they dont care too much about Mariko since they signed a model to play her and she almost doesnt appear on the trailers.
