Can you ask him about his possible involvement in DOFP?

It seems obvious from The Wolverine trailer that the Famke scenes are a dream/fantasy sequence because she would never get that intimate with Logan. He would always initiate and she would stop him because she loves Scott. I wouldn't get your hopes up that Jean is alive in this one.

Famke is in Canada promoting her new show Hemlock Grove.

I don't think a role is in the cards for Jean in DOFP but there's always hope for a cameo.

Also, Famke apparently signed on to a boxing drama which starts shooting in Ontario, Canada this week:

Famke was talking on Canadian morning tv and confirmed that she will be starting her new movie, The Fighting Man, with James Caan in two weeks

she also drops her usual hint at her role in the Wolverine but not even a hint of DOFP.

And WOW she looks great in this interview. She should take that studio lighting everywhere she goes!

Can't view video but darn, I was hoping she would mention dofp in some way. I feel like I am losing hope here.

If Famke is not in DOFP will be a big disappointment.
Without James, Rebecca and Famke will be very boring.

Luckily this film has probably about 12 other mutants to focus on, many being fan favs. This film will not be boring.

With Beast, Wolverine, Storm, Iceman, Colossus, Shadowcat, and Rogue, this movie shouldn't be boring (and is already looking infinitely better than FC). Of course Cyclops, and, to a lesser extent, Jean would be the "cherry on the top."

They would only ever be in it at the very end, anyway...

I'll take that (and I'll even forgive the Rebecca omission).

People make a lot of assumptions about this movie when we really know nothing...

Yeah, a cameo could be filmed anytime, even while working on another project...

im not sure how they could write in a cameo for these 2 that matters in any way to the film or the general audience

i'm all for it but i dunno how it could be done in a way that wouldnt seem forced or unimportant

i mean how to make the audience care about these cameos, its quite tough really to do something like that

The cameos tend to be more for the fans I think. Plus, Jean has played a fairly large role in at least 2 films plus they're set to continue the Wolverine/Jean romance angle in The Wolverine. They seem to think that Jean is important enough to feature her in advertising for what is most likely a one or two scene appearance.

Anyway, they could just appear an a "disaster averted" ending and show up as part of the alternate universe created that might be created by the events of the film.

it would have to be like a cliffhanger ending for it to really matter, and would have to be good cameo that means something or there wouldn't be any point of them showing up

to be fair young cyclops was in the origins trailer and Jean in the wolverine trailer, but i dunno its hard to say

A cameo at the end would be very easy to do. Once the time travel is over, the First Class castmembers return to their own time and the current team return to an alternate timeline. All you'd have to show is Scott and Jean at the school, as if nothing had changed because in that timeline, nothing has...

Heck I'd even settle for a line like Storm saying she needs to talk to Scott... just some sign that this time travel epic fixed the mistakes of Last Stand.

Since it's an "inbetweequel" I say that they can even start the movie just saying that the events in Last Stand are one of the many future scenarios to avoid, basically an "it was all a bad dream" thing, Charles awakes in Muir Island, where he was resting after Jean's death, having received a vision of things to come, yada yada yada. What I'm trying to say is that fixing **** can mean many, many possibilities, so cameos galore will be expected by me.

And they can still do the nice, happy 'disaster averted' ending with all the X-Men, alive and well, then add a post-credits sting with Apocalypse or something.

Done and done.

A consequence of whatever timeline shenanigans the X-men get into in this movie could lead to Apocalypse stories. I personally don't want to see an Apocalypse story without Scott and Jean, or Angel.

The talk show was George Stroumboulopoulos so we didn't get to ask questions. She didn't talk about DoFP but the host did ask her about The Wolverine and she did her "I heard I was in the trailer" bit then she admitted she can't talk about the role, that's about it. I got the impression her role is bigger than just a cameo. The entire interview was about 30 mins, then another actor came on Donal Logue, he seems like a really cool guy.

Famke is really tall in person and she was wearing, I would guess about 4 inch heels adding to her 5'11"? She wore a black lacy top with a white mini skirt, she was pretty. She is skinnier than I thought she would be, but her mini skirt was really form fitting. The episode airs Thursday at 7pm on CBC.

I hope Jean Grey is not in the movie and that they give her a long break (well she already have a cameo in The Wolverine).
