I don't see how one can call Cole's design bland when Delsin is more of the same. What is different between the two besides a cap? I don't see anything about Delsin that stands out from a design standpoint. If Cole's design is bland, than I fail to see how he is much better.

Far from bland

I wonder just how many different powers Delsin can absorb??

so far, they've only shown 2: Smoke and Neon.

There are definitely more, but it seems they might not reveal anymore. They mentioned wanting to keep them a surprise. I heard speculation of a "concrete" power.

On a similar not, I adore the look of the Neon. It reminds me of the Kryptonian weapons in MoS.

Generic bald dude. His look for 2 was slightly better but the mailman in a track suit for the first was very meh.

I much prefer the Cole we got in inFamous 2 over the redesigned that they revealed when they first announced the game.

I think the Neon power looks sick!! I might use it more than Smoke.

hope we can get some Ice powers, too, and telekinesis type powers.

lol Ben's may be you just don't like the professions characters from certain games have chosen to pay the bill's. Leon was a United states secret service agent for a bit which is mostly what they're known for, they're the most well know best body guards to most the world, which it seems you can't stand , it would seem in game play wise stance. But with the way capcom introduces new game play styles features with thing's they haven't mastered that some one else has done and they don't pick people that have done so, it's kinda makes sense as to why that happened.

And now this with Cole. Well part of it was cole's original design look in his job. lol it's a bit interesting though .

But it is what it is. Their career chose doesn't appeal to you. Well Leon was sorta forced into that job though at first.

I agree though Cole had his best look in infamous 2and I don't mean the villain part or what they trying to pass off before the game came out.

I hated the redesign too.. It just didn't make sense. I like Cole l's over all look in inFAMOUS 2 better (I did wish he had a but more hair tho..) but his look in 1, more so evil Cole.. I just hated.

I love the game.. Not a huge fan of character design.

Well there we have it then.

The look that even Joseph Gordon-Levitt did for that one movie where he delivered mail and packages on a bike and was in danger in that occupation isn't a cool design and too common.

it's understandable. Infamous 2's look was indeed the best. It's all good then.

Haha, I liked Cole's jacket from infamous 1. That was a classic. So much so that its being brought back in the LE of this game

that would be a bit much. I really think they should stick to just those to and really focus on developing them. Let them be Delsin's expertise and what makes him stand out. That's what I liked about Cole as he was able to do a lot with just lightning. I don't feel the fire/ice really added much in the second game. Both were just variations of his previous abilities He's still defined by lightning.

Well Delsin's thing is that he can absorb other abilities. So I think we are going to need more. Now how he uses each is most important, I agree.

Well they did make that clear from the jump with game informer with the head dev hinting at it we we first heard about it and then there's what was shown in new york with their presentation later when winter came about from sony to game trailer's and others besides that showcased it. Oh well.

That's nice. I didn't see any of that. I try to avoid watching game trailers and don't read previews of games Im really interested. I try to keep it limited bc I don't want to have my experience affected by hype and don't want to be spoiled, which unfortunately ends up being the case. When I play a game, I prefer to have what I play be new to me and not bc its been leaked to me before hand

Since going to Seattle in early December I've become madly excited for Second Son. Recognizing the areas in the trailer is insane. The entire E3 demo is taken from next to where I stayed.

well I've been making sure not to put those that spoil too much like say the ending of a games story and I respect those that have made the chose you just stated. I was just stating what went down and nothing more then that. And seeing it from the dev's them selves I don't think they are putting everything out them selves ether.

So it's fine. I was mentioning the details and getting you up to speed with the others that told this this new character is a male Rogue . And the Dev's made it clear from the jump from the point when I made the thread.

24 gb install required... Daaaayum.

Quote:
Sucker Punch’s inFamous: Second Son is still a month away but the studio and Sony are gearing up for the release. The official European box sleeve has been released by PlayStation France community coordinator PixelTux and it seems you’ll need roughly 24 GB of HDD space on your PS4 in order to install the game. Check out a close-up of the box-art below which confirms this size.

It’s hardly a case of excessive storage requirements though. Killzone: Shadow Fall required almost 50 GB of space to install and even games on the Xbox One have high storage requirements. A patch for Dead Rising 3 weighed in at 13 GB, for crying out loud.
If this is an indication of developers getting better at optimizing assets and compressing them for final releases, we’re all for it. We’ll find out how Second Son plays as a game when it releases on March 21st worldwide. Stay tuned for more news and details on the game as approach launch.

Why dayum? That's half the size of most of the launch games. It's a good sign that they were able to optimize it so well.

I just wish that since installs are mandatory... that they would be much lower than even that.

What does them being mandatory have to do with size? IA with the other posters saying that 24gb seems very reasonable and well optimized especially compared to something like KZ which was 40gb

Im surprisingly not finding installs an issue with this gen. The PS3 had them upwards of like 5gb and those could be slow and difficult to manage but on the PS4, things are faster even at 20gb+. The fact that you can play games while they install makes deleting/reinstalling as need be a nonissue. I can only see it potentially being a problem for those that make heavy use of digital downloads but anyone that is sticking primarily to discs, well its quite inconsequential
