I love the first 3 and like the 4th. The Last Crusade would have to be my favourite I think, then probably Raiders, but Temple of Doom is just as good as well imo. Skull is 4th but its still okay for what it is, I dont hate it like some do.

I find time has been kind to KOTCS. When I first saw it I was in the camp of fans disappointed by it, but I've grown to enjoy it much more. I remember when I had an all-day Indy marathon and concluded it with KOTCS, I had so much fun with it. Maybe it was just watching it with the first three, but it was definitely cool getting a bonus Indy adventure to end the marathon with

I hear you. Seeing TOD as a small kid, it definitely leaves a long-lasting impression on you.

The truck chase in Raiders is a flawless action set piece.

The last 45 minutes of TOD is pretty much one giant, epic action sequence.

My top 5.

1. Truck Chase in Raiders
2. Mine escape/Bridge sequence from TOD
3. Tank chase in Last Crusade
4. Bike chase in Last Crusade
5. Bar shootout/fight in Nepal from Raiders

So true. It never fails to be one of the most thrilling and exciting moments of a movie ever.

I'd say my top five Indy action scenes:

1. Mine cart chase/bridge showdown - TOD
2. Truck chase - ROTLA
3. Bar shoot-out - ROTLA
4. Jungle chase - KOTCS
5. Tank chase/fight - TLC

It's close between the jungle and tank scenes. The jungle chase I think was a fun sequence minus the swinging monkeys and Mutt getting hit in the jewels.

1) Last Crusade - Overall Raiders is a much stronger film but the third act of Crusades resonates so much that it takes the top spot.

2) Raiders - What needs to be said? It's one of the best movies ever made. Period.

3) Doom - Creepy and adult yet 100% Indiana Jones. A solid entry into the trilogy just not as strong as the others.

and those are all the Indiana Jones movies.

You are almost right, Messiah. However, we both know the only Indiana Jones film is The Temple of Doom. Coincidentally, that is my favorite.

TOD was also my first Indy film. I grew up with it and Raiders, I didn't see TLC until I was about 8 or 9.

While on the subject, which is everyone's favorite version of Indy? TOD hands down has to be my favorite portrayal of him.

1. Raiders of the Lost Ark: 10/10
2. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade: 10/10
3. Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom: 8/10
4. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull: 7/10

Skull, while disappointing and a huge step down, is not as bad as people say and Doom is not as good as they also say.

It's same as with star wars.People used to complain about return of the jedi
now they love It.People used to complain about temple of doom now they call
It great.

I beg to disagree when people say Skull Isn't a Indiana Jones film.Besides that
will almost certinly be the last Indy film.Disney buying lucasfilm may have killed any chance of another.Plus nothing has been said about Indiana Jones since
the sale of lucasfilm. If DIsney ever does anything with Indiana Jones It will be reboot.

Just a thought.
Well, if someone enjoyed stabbing themselves in the face with an ice pick, I guess they wouldn't have to provide an explanation for why but I would probably still wonder...

That and Harrison sadly isn't getting any younger as the years go by

Well depends on who you ask. Some Hate Willie and her screams, others hate Short Round and others say it's too dark.

Personally, i have no issues with TOD, and i love the darkness in it. I thought it had a nice contrast from Raiders but enough of the humor to make it all work.

Same. I always really enjoyed the darker tone and how it had different enemies and settings for Indy as well as a different mythology the main relic was rooted in. Fun as The Last Crusade is, I always felt it suffered from being too much like Raiders and being too light and comical in tone.

Raiders.
Temple.
Crusade.
Skull.

Crusade is the most emotional movie, and it's not far behind Temple. But to me, it's "Raiders of the Lost Ark Lite", whereas I hear the phrase "go for broke", I think of "Temple of Doom". Spielberg and Lucas went after something different, and had a lot of cajones making that movie.
